So Iyari played Kennedy in season 7 of BTVS. Is anybody a fan of her ?

Ive met her a couple of times at conventions and shes sooooo sweet and funny

She has appeard in many TV shows and has two films due to be released this summer.

Has anyone seen any of her appearences?

I like her okay, though I've never seen anything else she's been in...I have read articles about how she was married to Pedro from 'Napoleon Dynamite' and is dating (or was, I don't know if she still is) some DJ chick.

What movies does she have upcoming?

Yeah she was married to Pedro lol and dating a dj called sandra but shes not with her anymore.
Her last convention appearence was the dutch star con in holland in may 2006 and she told us that it was her last fan convention but never say never haha
I hope she does ive met her twice and shes really funny and talkative
She has two movies that are hopefully going to get released;
-Death by engagement (independent horror flick)
- Maquilaje (spanish independent film,)

I thought she stopped acting all together? Wasn't that her reason for not doing conventions anymore? Or is she just doing independent stuff.. ?

I was thinking about maybe seeing her on the Dutch Star Con but i eventually went to see some Harry Potter actors at a fair... it would have been great to meet her though, i don't like the character Kennedy but Iyari seems nice.

I heard that she was getting asked by fans to sign the strangest things like underwear and then it would placed on Ebay and it would say official endorsed by Iyari. She really got upset by that and was really strict on what she was signing after that.

She may wanted a break from the con scene to break away from the Buffy crowd and establish a name for herself outside of Buffy.

I sometimes wonder if actors (like Iyari) ever regret being on shows like Buffy.
I am not saying that she should be ashamed to be on Buffy! My point is that she will forever be associated with Kennedy (to a lesser degree) just as SMG will always be associated with Buffy.
I am not sure how to say what I am thinking.
It's like she will forevor be known for a show where she was in 15 of 144 episodes. She might have been better off establishing her name in a different way. Then again, we might have NEVER heard of her had it not been for her role as Kennedy.
You know what I mean?

Yeah i totally get what you mean. i asked her about this at the last convention and she said she doesnt mind because its what gave her the options she has now.

But i assume it would get a little tiring sometimes, i mean sarah and alyson have done alot of other projects but will mainly be know as "Buffy" or "Willow" to alot of people.

Oh, Iyari...you are hott...I'll give you that. My love for Latino girls extends to you, my dear...lol. I'm gonna learn Spanish, just so I can say dirty things in Spanish. That's why I learned French and Italian, after all...lol. Hard to say dirty things in Hebrew, though...

Anyways...I have to agree to some point that people will remember you for your biggest project with the most fan-base. Buffy has a HUGE fanbase still, so it's not surprising that the actors/actresses are known for their roles on these. People get typecast all the time, though... Just b/c she played a lesbian slayer on a cult-hit show, Iyari may be pegged as a lesbian actress. That's not to say that an actress/actor is particularly gay...but think about 'Will and Grace' for a moment...

Can you see Sean Hayes as anybody other than Jack?
