Can you see Sean Hayes as anybody other than Jack? He recently played a mentally disabled guy on Campus Ladies. But then I guess that's not all that different than Jack. LOL.

LOL. See what I mean? It's hard to take characters you know and love from television, and allow your mind to incorporate them into different roles?? That's why I have such a hard time with "How I met your Mother.' Well...one of the reasons, anyways. I can't picture Neil Patrick Harris as anything but Doogie Howser, and Alyson as only Willow. (that's just two of many reasons, though...that show should be banned...or at least kill off some of the main characters *cough* Marshall *cough*).
Sarah was already an established actress in other roles, and she was the main character. She was Buffy. Sure, people are going to see her as Buffy, call her as Buffy, but Hollywood and the independent film studios are giving her roles that challenge her. A cameo here, a bad tv movie there...these do not make for good challenges. I feel bad for television actors at times b/c it's hard to break out like Robin Williams did (don't forget, he was Mork...) or even those actors on SNL that've made it big over the years with challenging roles, not just comedic roles.
Seeing her, Iyari has the face, and probably the overall drive to succeed but so do many other actors/actresses. Being typecast is just one of those things that happen...

HATED the character but I hear nothing but great things about Iyari. Sure, I'd like to meet her one day, but not for her role on Buffy. Cuz frankly, she annoyed the crap out of me.
