I just finished making this dress for a magazine that I was asked to be in. I am sorry about the crappy cell phone picture. My real camera is broken The dress has 3 layers. There is a lining, a structural layer and then the sheer on top. It can be worn as an empire waist or as a tent dress, with out the ribbon at the bust. The feather is not attached I will be sure to post a better picture when I get one and I will post the magazine scans too. Thanks for looking -Jon

That's really cool! How amazing that you designed it. I didn't know you were a designer. I like it with the empire waist. It looks adorable. Now this dress would have looked TONS better on SMG than the one she wore to the Oscar parties!
Beautiful. Do you have more pictures of your creations?

Thanks Maria! Wow. To design a dress for SMG! That would be amazing! I have been designing for years and I am in fashion school. It wasn't until about a year or so ago that I started doing it professionally. I have organized and been invited to a few fashion shows and I was asked to sell in a few stores but I am not ready for that just yet! I was in a show last spring and that led to the magazine thing. They saw a dress I did and contacted the show organizers to get my info. They were intrigued when they found out I was a man...the only man featured in the show actually. So they got in contact with me last may and asked me if I would be interested in creating a garment for their magazine that would show what I thought the trends would be for the next spring (Spring 2007). So not it is coming up on spring 2007 and I am about to be featured in their magazine!! I have many other creations that I can post. The problem is most of them are in my studio AND my digital camera is broken. I will see if I can find some pics from shows I have done. Thanks again for your comments -Jon

Jon, I really like this dress! As Maria said, this would be much more flattering to SMG's petite figure. It's young and fun and allows ones' figure to come through. Kudos!!

Thanks for all the great compliments!! I have a more than what I put below but I can't get pictures of it all because it is at my studio Flyer for a show I organised. I painted the girl too. Unfinished jacket and corset top. The dress and jacket from the show last spring that got me in the magazine!
