"Help me cut her down" huh? Just reminded me of Chloe's hanging body in "Get It Done". Am very excited though... and I loved the detail in the opening shot. I mean, it's partly Jeanty's work, but the colorist should be worshipped for the amazing work on the popped blood vessels. And I agree with Emmie... I love the double ear piercings.

I never said it was weird. I was just commenting on how familiar that line was. Weird is having someone jump on a comment like that. Although, "Heh... look, dead" would have been apt but cold.

Also looks like Buffy has procured a Tokyo base as well.

Also looks like Buffy has procured a Tokyo base as well. She apparently has a thing for mountainsides or hills or nature or something. Scottish highlands. Countryside in Italy. Mountain-y countryside in Japan. Except Cleveland I guess... unless you count snow mounds.

Also looks like Buffy has procured a Tokyo base as well. I imagine they choose remote locations on purpose, so they can avoid attention from the outside world. It's so weird to see the gang create this global secret society thing though!! Almost unbelievable! Plus kudos to bennyboi for being the first to catch the preview! Always quickest on the cyberspace with this stuff!

Everyone loves a popped blood vessel. That scene is very reminiscent of "Get It Done". I only watched that episode yesterday, so it's fresh in my mind. That was a great opening scene. Very exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next. I love the look of the Tokyo/Japan headquarters! If they don't have a Chinese base of operations, I hope Chao-Ahn is at the Tokyo base, maybe in charge of a squad! That would amuse me to no end.

If nothing else, the cultural clash would be interesting. Even till today, many Chinese haven't exactly forgiven the Japanese for their actions in China during WWII. And maybe Chao-Ahn's Cantonese will sound better in my head as I read it off a page. What are the chances that there isn't a base in China? Everything's made there. If they found a way to manufacture slayers, they probably would.

That was wow!!
Am i getting way into my star wars geek roots when i say that the scene where Buffy carries the body reminds me of the similar one in AOTC where Anakin carries his dead mom's corpse?

And maybe Chao-Ahn's Cantonese will sound better in my head as I read it off a page. Why? Kristy Wu's pronunciation wasn't so good? I've heard that some Koreans say Daniel Dae Kim's Korean on "Lost" has a pretty heavy American accent...

I've heard that some Koreans say Daniel Dae Kim's Korean on "Lost" has a pretty heavy American accent... I have also heard the same thing. One of my best friends is half-Korean and her mom is a big LOST fan, and she says that her mom is always saying how wrong his Korean sounds.

I've heard that some Koreans say Daniel Dae Kim's Korean on "Lost" has a pretty heavy American accent... I'm not the best at any Chinese language, but I do understand some of it, and no, the pronunciation was kinda funny. In fact, it almost seemed like it was done on purpose to conform to some stereotype. It was funny though... I'll give it that.

So what... they're trying to make up for the lateness of the preview by giving us more pages? Well then... carry on.

As far as a powerful snippet goes, I think the first preview showed just enough to get the fans salivating. These additional 3 pages are fun cuz new info is always nice, but I don't think it made me more excited for the issue. In a way it detracted from the powerful punch of seeing Aiko strung up so graphically and the silent walk Buffy takes carrying her body.
I dont like it when we get too much of a preview because then the issue feels shorter when I read it for the first time.

Oh man, I tried not to read because I too feel it makes the issue much shorter but that was a great preview. Buffy carrying Aiko was a very poignant moment and the fallout seems to be pretty interesting too. And more then ever I'm pretty much postive that we won't actually see Dawn storming around Tokyo. I've been saying for months it was pretty much a gag cover to tie in with Goddard's Cloverfield and I'm pretty sure of it now. It really doesn't look like she made the trip. I'm pretty much glad, Giant Dawn is still my least favourite thing about the season and I just keep hoping they'll dump it...Though I'm perfectly ready to eat my words.
The writing in this issue so far is just top notch, so many little character moments in only six pages. It's funny how little Willow and Xander have actually been together over the series so far, I really liked just the fact that she was excited to see him.
