Ladyparasyte, there's a few of us trying to continue and hold up the Buffy fandom banner here in Chicago. The following list is not definitive, because there are sure to be other pockets of Buffy Chicago fandom: Buffy Chicago meetup, Chicago Slayathon annual event held in August, Yahoo group Buffy fans Chicago. If you're a fan of Firefly/Serenity Browncoats are active, too: Yahoo group Chicago Firefly and Chicagoland Browncoats. To the best of my knowledge, the Buffy groups are very welcoming to new members (if you come to one of their scheduled meetups, it only seems that they're all BFFs since the group has only existed since July 2006). The Firefly groups are friendly too, I know some their members and they're nice folks. Is this the sort of information you're looking for?
