I've only read 1-4, i plan to read the rest. try not to completely spoil me, but... did i completely miss a storyline that goes between angel the series and the angel ATF comics?
because i am very confused on the LA-hell thing. did LA get physically moved to hell? i mean if i was in nevada driving to LA, would i end up in LA-hell? did hell open a portal straight to whole planet? blah.. are there barriers preventing escape from this hell? is this even discussed in the storyline? i can't remember.
thanks.

I hasn't really been confirmed yet. Either LA was actually moved to a hell dimension. Or a hell dimension was just released into LA. From what it sounds like, there is a physical barrier preventing people from entering or leaving, but it also hasn't been shown either.

An excerpt from the description of #10: "Months ago, Los Angeles went to hell. Or maybe hell came to Los Angeles. Find out the truth once and for all."

ok, thanks guys
i've really been out of the loop. i didn't even know they were doing any after the series stuff until i just happened upon some link to a link about this and got interested. i really thought i missed the epilogue or inbetween story. i guess everything will be revealed concerning that fight and LA-hell thing in this series.
one more question. are they planning more angel storylines after ATF or is kinda 'the end' thing? i'm sure they will always have some stories, but i mean the continuation of the series. from what i've read so far, ATF seems to kinda be 'the end'. plus, i know that you guys have been researching this stuff way more than i have. i think i saw spike ATF story coming? is this true and are there others i need to look out for?

Right now the only other thing that's been announced is the 4-part "Spike: After the Fall", starting in July. But this series has apparently been one of, if not THE best-selling titles IDW has ever had, so I think I'd be surprised if there isn't more after AtF. Probably not right away, tho--if Brian writes it, the dude deserves some time off first...

Angel will almost definately continue on IDW, but whether it'll be canon like ATF is a good question.

I think a story about Angel in the future would be cool. After ATF is over. That's assuming he survives ATF. Issiue 4 hinted that he may still be around during Fray's timeline. I think a story about that would be awsome.

I would be floored if any future Fray works involved Spike or Angel in some way. That would be too awesome.

Just sayin'... If you're only reading A:AtF, then there's really no reason to bother with "Fray". Well, other than the fact that it's completely awesome and absolutely shouldn't be missed, that is...

It does seem awfully confusing as to why the Buffy Season 8 crowd haven't noticed that LA is...y'know, in hell.
I posted this in another thread, but I still think it's valid. My guess is that LA has been sent to Quor-Toth. We know time moves extremely quickly there, so no one in the rest of the world has even noticed that LA is gone.
Notice the Slukk in the Lords' meeting chambre in Issue 3.

Notice the Slukk in the Lords' meeting chambre in Issue 3. since season 8 is about 18 months after season 7, and after the fall should be what, only 12months after Buffy season 7? perhaps LA is back in this world and Angel is safe before season 8 so there's no need to worry? Or perhaps the senior partners did a spell so no one thinks(hey, what happened to la?)
