The title says it all. Personally my least favorite character was Rona. Way too whiney for my taste. I swear she didn't have any normal lines, just whine, whine, whine... -Jess I agree. I mostly didn't like her b/c she always had this bad attitude. Plus she mocked Buffy when they forced her(Buff) to leave the house. "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" BTW, why does everyone hate Dawn. I feel so sorry for the kid.

I don't hate Dawn either.
There's only so many times Willow, Xander, and more so Cordelia can need rescuing by Buffy. Dawn was a necessary component, and was a key character in one of the better seasons. She conformed to the stereotype of little sisters, and made for some interesting storylines. People mostly hate her because she was whiny, but like I said - little sister stereotype. So I liked her ;D
I've mentioned before in the thread, but like so many others I didn't reckon much to Riley. He was just too boring in my opinion, for someone in a military demon sqaud thing, and I didn't feel like he had much of a purpose after "Primeval", so I was not sad to see him go at all.

I agree with Ouija, Dawn is the little sister stereotype. Sometimes she drove me crazy with her reaction, but yeah, that's how it's doing in real life when you're "old" and got a little sister. So she didn't bored me. Riley did!! And when we saw him a on "vampire club", letting a girl vampire suck his blood, I hated hi more !!!

Dawn was definitely a stereotype, and one of someone much younger than she was. On a show with very developed characters, she was a stereotype. And she whined. And she screamed. And she made Buffy a nag. If I want to watch small children bicker, I'll rent Spy Kids.
However, I think it's fascinating that we all have differenet reactions to different characters. I think it shows how the show appeals to so many people and personalities. We all have different emotional reactions to different characters based on our values, experiences, and judgments, not to mention how we feel about other characters on the show. We certainly can't talk each other out of our emotional reactions to certain characters.
Personally, Riley wasn't my favorite. I liked him for the most part in season 4, though I didn't like his delusion that he, a mere mortal man, was supposed to be stronger and more powerful than the slayer. It was pretty arrogant. However, I think he was mostly a good boyfriend to Buffy and they had some fun sex, so I was happy for her!
He started to bug me in season 5 when he responded to Buffy's stress over her mom's tumor by going to get sucked by vampires. I was so frustrated that he gave Buffy so little time to figure things out before he left town. Then when he came back and brought his wife, I just wanted to slug him.
But breakups are always hard, aren't they?

I had to go with Dawn. She was an interesting plot point but I really wish they would have turned her back into mystical keyness so we didn't have to deal with her through the rest of the show. Her constant whining and screeching really irritated me. I was a nanny for a five year old at the time and he never would have acted as immaturely as Dawn did.
I think Riley gets a bad rap. His neediness was a bit much at times but he was really the nicest guy Buffy ever dated. I think the problem was summed up by Spike, Buffy needs a little monster in her man.

Well Riley was the most hated for me, again I think he was just a attemp to make Buffy more normal. Kennedy was ok but as much as I wanted Willow to be happy, I still wanted her with Tara...... somhow...

Yeah definitely either Riley or Kennedy. I voted for Riley I think. But Kennedy didn't do much for me either. Willow was meant to be with either Tara or Oz! Both of whom I like.

I couldnt stand Riley there was no need for Riley thats what I think. I couldnt stand his constant dislike to the fact his girlfriend was stronger then him.

I really dislike Kennedy. I just never found a reason to like her. I didn't like Riley with Buffy, but he was an okay character before he got with her, and before he was involved in the initiative, that was weird.

I have only seen season 7 once, and hopefully I can change my mind, but who died and made Kennedy the queen bee?

I was wondering if anyone else noticed how warped it got toward the end of that season, where everything that was wrong in their relationship became buffys fault.I mean, c'mon, buffy was having a really hard time; Riley was just insecure. How is that buffys fault?!?!

Rona is my choice. She drove me nutty! Have to go with Riley too. Complete tool! So what's with all the Kennedy hating??? Gotta be the Tara fan's getting all protective. I mean out of all the potentials Kennedy was the only real strong woman. I thought she was great...not to mention quite easy on the eyes! I used to despise Kennedy, but I no longer do. I'm not the biggest fan of hers when she interacts with the other characters. But with Willow, they have some great moments. She provided a lot of strength and support for Will. She stuck by her side during the craziness of The Killer in Me. That was a crazy first date and she didn't bail. The energy sucking in Get it Done was difficult for Kennedy, but she got over it quick. For someone so skeptical about magic, I commend her for the support she provided. I appreciate the moments with Willow. Besides that, Kennedy may get under myskin, but I deal. ;D

I have only seen season 7 once, and hopefully I can change my mind, but who died and made Kennedy the queen bee? Tara... Sorry, I just couldn't let that slide past. I liked Tara a lot, and Willow and Tara were my favorite couple on the show, but stuff happened and Tara died, and Willow needed something to "bring her back to life." I actually like Kennedy, and think she could be good for Willow. Well, assuming Joss doesn't decide to make them a typical BtVS relationship doomed for disaster, of course... By the way, I vote for Caleb. By the end of his first appearance, I was going, "Would somebody kill this bastard, already, just to shut him up!"

Kennedy, all the way. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally in favor of Willow putting Tara behind her and getting on with her life and loving again... Just not with her.

Seriously, based on what I've been hearing from fans ever since the show aired, I think any new character that Willow hooked up with would have been met with the same general response. (Or any existing character, too, for that matter, with the possible exception of Oz. It seems that any route the writers took her in was gonna whiz in somebody's Cheerios... )

Which is why they should have left Willow single for another year, as they had originally planned (with that Evil Tara storyline). But from what I've heard, Joss said he wanted someone to still be in a relationship by the end of the series, and Xander/Anya and Spike/Buffy didn't qualify, with the dying.
