I just recently finished watching all of Buffy and thought I would bring up this question to everyone:
What is your favorite Buffy base of operations?
As the show (and now comic) changed, the command central or base of operations where the Scoobies would have their meetings, discuss the current evil, and even have some exciting battles changed as well.
So what was your favorite?
My favorite was by far the Sunnydale High Library. I always thought it was really well designed and thought out, and was almost like a character on the show those first three years. It had very gothic lighting and certainly had a very unique look compared to most high school libraries.
A close second would be The Magic Box.

I would have to say the library. It had a togetherness about it. I think all of our Scoobies felt at home there and lets face it some of the best moments took place in that old library...I miss it!!!!

Library, definitely. It's the classic. Where the Scoobies were born.

The Library for sure. It was to me the essence of the show's early seasons and it was never really paralleled. The season regular sets on Buffy were never nearly as interesting as the ones on Angel. I loved all of Angel's base of operations, his detective offices/his awesome underground apartment. The Wolfram and Hart offices. And the Hyperion, damn that was a set. The Buffy bases never really captured the magic of The Library, I found the Magic Box and especially the Summers home to be very bland. Giles' house was pretty cool though, especially how it expanded over the season to include that cool garden area. I also really dug Angel's mansion.

I like the atmosphere of the Magic Box but I prefer the library, it reminds me of the high school seasons and it was kinda funny how students never studied there except for the scoobies !

Library, 100% It's a classic. I really enjoyed the feel and look of it. The set worked great for the show. So many classic Buffy moments too. The Magic Box is a close second. I wish it wasn't destroyed in Season 6 cause I really prefered it to The Summer's House. I liked Giles' flat, but it was too small.
I'm hoping we get to see more of the castle soon. From the couple rooms we've seen, it's looked really cool.

Library, for sure! I loved the look of it. I even bought the library playset!
Then, the Magic Box. (Which would also be a cool playset!)

I prefer the Magic Box, the library was way too dark.

I chose the library, where Giles and the books live! They had everything there; Giles worked there, Scoobies had school there, loads of books for info on demons, a cage to lock Oz up when it was wolf-time, and it was right above the Hellmouth!

I'm gonna have to go with the library, simply because Sunnydale High was my school (Torrance High School in Torrance, Ca). I'm biased, haha.
For the record, if anyone's curious, the library was not actually a part of our school. However, whoever designed the set did an amazing job of making it look like it was. They used the same sort of oddly-colored tiling that our school had, which just made it fit right in. I remember the first time I saw it I had to make sure it wasn't actually some room I didn't know about, haha.

^ You went to Torrance? Wow, that would be so AWESOME! I'd keep expecting to see the Scoobies walking down the hallways

I quite like the Summers Home! I dont know why to be honest lol. I think it just gives the tense atmosphere, and reminds me of how far Buffy,Spike and the Scoobies had come. Also because it was the base of operations mainly in Season 7 which personally is my favourite even although it makes me sad So yeah Summers Home even although I know Im the only one who thinks so Yay lol

Some of them did actually walk down the hallways. Primarily Seth Green. Instead of cloistering in with the rest of the cast and crew during lunches, he'd wander around the campus talking with students. Really awesome guy.

I'd like to think that the Scotland Castle would be pretty neat to see on TV. Other than that I'd pick the Sunnydale Library.

I definitely picked the Magic Box. It was an awesome HQ for the Scoobies. I also liked the library but it got old and it was just unrealistic that we didn't see one single student studying there other than the Scoobies in three years!!! At least not that I remember.
The Magic Box had a very cool atmosphere and looked so neat. I'm pretty sure everybody felt like owning a place like that when watching the show. And we would actually see real customers every once in a while. Plus Giles had made that very special room in the back for Buffy's training. I just really liked the shop. It was fun and cosy. Giles and Anya worked there. Buffy could train in the back. Willow and Tara would study their spells with the magic books. Dawn could do her homeworks there too. Xander just had to sit and hang out with them. How cool was that?
I kinda liked the Summer's Home too. And I guess the Scotland Castle would have been great on television.

Gotta go with the Sunnydale High Library on this one. It's just classic. Though the Summer's home actually runs a close second for me.
