I think theres a good chance that Harmony sired Gunn. As for who dies......ahhh just kill Betta George kick him out the window for all I care, I want the people I've known for 5 years to stay alive! NO... Betta George is the best. Kill off Gunn. (BRIAN, PLEASE KILL OFF GUNN. I'M BEGGING YOU!!!) Gunn is the reason why Fred "died" and now hes going all vampire crazy and killing innocent bystanders. Don't get me wrong, he does kill demon lords but he will probably use the valuables from the demon lords to favor him. Which could be... to kill Angel and his crew. Which includes Illyria. And if he kill Illyria, then Fred cant come back. And then he would kill Winifred all over again.

If you tossed George out a window, he'd float. The dude levitates.

I'm hoping it was Harmony who sired Gunn, because she didn't get any more closure than the other characters in the televised finale, and because she was such a big part of Angel in its fifth season, but I could see it being Drusilla. She did make that cameo in Spike: Shadow Puppets, so IDW probably owns the rights to her character. (And maybe her cameo was a clue in itself, like Spoiler Wesley or Fred turning into Illyria.) I don't think Connor will die. You can't have anything close to a hopeful ending with Connor dead, or Dawn over at Buffy -- it would crush your protagonists. (And yes, I do consider Not Fade Away "hopeful", in the same way that Spike's message to Buffy in Once More, With Feeling was hopeful -- "really desolate, almost pathetic hope", Joss called it, "the classic in his stuff".) Thanks for those facts, Brian.

I would also be very disappointed if Connor dies. Angel already lost his son once and we saw how Angel reacted to that. His reaction to Connor's death in After the Fall (if he did die) would be 10x's as bad as in Season 3. Wolfram & Hart unleashed hell in L.A. more or less because of Angel's actions in taking out the Circle of the Black Thorn. So if Connor died, I don't think Angel would ever get over it, because he would blame himself.
Plus I am really enjoying Connor's story so far, and would hate to see that progress meet an end.

The death WILL be a regular member according to The Powers-That-Read section.

Okay, I still think it is very possible that Gunn might have been turned by Angel, and here is why. Lets say the fighting is just about to start or started already in the ally way and Gunn turns to Angel in his messed up state and asks Angel to turn him so he can help with the fight. At first Angel refuses and tells him he would lose his soul. But Gunn convinces him that they are all going into hell anyway and that he would rather help fight than bleed to death. Maybe he says "besides if you and Spike could get souls back, maybe I could to." So Angel turns him based on the fact that Gunn asked him to. Then after they got separated Gunn takes off on his own and realizes what he has done, but instead of blaming himself, he blames Angel and wants to take it out on him. After all, its his fault that Fred's gone, it's his fault they got into Wolfram & Hart and its his fault LA is now in Hell. Why not add this on to the list? And ultimately I think it will be Gunn who turns Angel back into a vampire to "return the favor"...
I know this is all very far fetched but who knows...

But it takes time for a person to turn to a vamp. I don't see Angel viewing that as a plausible way to keep his fighters going. It would take too much time for Gunn to rise, that either the battle would be over or his body would be destroyed before he rose again.
I do like the idea of Gunn turning Angel back into a vampire. I think he already blames Angel for his fate, so its not necessary that Angel be the one who directly kills him to make it come full circle.

I don't think it was Angel that turned him, during the flashback to the alley in issue 4, he gets teleported and is worried about Gunn, to which he jumps off a building and breaks both of his legs. I think it would make an interesting story, but I don't think Angel would do it again, especially after what happened with Dawson.
............................
Now on to death, a BIG part of me thinks, and wishes I didn't, that the person who will die is Gwen. In the letter section, it said "the beginning of the end", so it must be someone that joined at the beginning of After the Fall, Gwen is one of those. Another reason is that Gwen and Nina are basically serving the same purpose, like Wyndam mentioned earlier, but Gwen got a story in First Night, and Nina didn't.
I believe the purpose of the Gwen story is to get us to like the character more, only for her to get killed, to which I will cry my eyes out.

Gotcha! I wasn't sure if the next installment was still 'First Night'. I think I assumed it was only two issues because of the 'two issue as one' cover.
EDIT: I just noticed the number of posts I now have right here '666'...creepy. I feel like I should reference the Devil or something. Er, sources say the devil likes to play racquetball.

1. Betta George makes a fairly Earth-Shattering discovery in issue 10.
I was thinking this would be interesting if it was about the nature of Hell-A: are they in hell or has hell come to LA? Is it all an illusion that BG can see beyond because of his powers? The capitalization of "Earth-Shattering" seems like a hint or maybe it's nothing.
2. Angel gets a new yet oddly familiar nickname in issue 9.
No idea. I listed a bunch of his nicknames earlier.
3. Connor reveals a whole hell of a lot to Angel in issue 9.
I'm trying to think of something shocking Connor could reveal. I don't think anything is going to top what Angel had to see in Apocalypse Now. Maybe something to do with Connor getting his memory back completely or what he's been doing since 'First Night'.
4. We find out who turned Gunn in issue 8.
I think the most likely suspect is Harmony. If it was Harm, maybe Gunn staked her afterwards and that's why we haven't seen her. Or it's Harm in the basement.
6. Death is coming.
Agreeing with Wyndam, the most likely two being Angel and Gunn. I think I'd prefer if it were Angel being revamped. What if it is Death coming as an actual character?
