Brian Lynch posted a few things on his blog about what we can expect soon...... bloglynch.blogspot.com/2008/05/angelafter-fall-fun-facts.html1. Betta George makes a fairly Earth-Shattering discovery in issue 10.
2. Angel gets a new yet oddly familiar nickname in issue 9.
3. Connor reveals a whole hell of a lot to Angel in issue 9.
4. We find out who turned Gunn in issue 8.
5. Nick Runge handles the art for issue 10, save for 2 pages, which have to do be done in a different style for story purposes.
6. Death is coming.Excited, but also extremely nervous......

Angel nicknames, Angel nicknames...Spike and Lorne were always tossing out the nicknames for him so I wonder if it'll resemble one of those.
Here's a few:

Let's get some discussion going on who might be meeting their end soon?
Current After the Fall players:
Angel: - I have a feeling that it might be Angel, only I have a feeling he will become a vampire again, not get killed completely.
Wesley: - Good ol' Wes is already a ghost, so his story could really head anywhere at this point. He could become corporeal again somehow, or get "killed" again and sent to a hell dimension, heaven, who the heck knows where. I have a feeling he's going to stick around though. The Fred/Illyria story is just kicking off, and I have no doubt that Wes will play a large part in whatever happens with Fred.
Gunn: - While technically Gunn is dead (okay, undead), I think it is a definite that he and Angel are going to fight before After the Fall concludes, so I think Gunn is definitely stakeable and also a candidate.
Illyria/Fred: - I just don't see either one of them getting killed any time soon. Their issues have only just begun, and I don't see any reason why they would be killed. Unless Illyria has to die in order for Fred to actually survive down the line, but Illyria has become so popular and interesting, I think they will either find a way to co-exist, or be split in to two separate people.
Lorne: - I think Lorne is certainly at risk, as he doesn't play as large of a role as the other main characters from the series. I'd hate to see him go, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was killed.
Spike: - Spike is still way too important to both series and fans, that I doubt he will ever be killed. Plus, there was also that panel that looked like he was in the future as well. He's safe.
Connor: - I think Connor is safe. He's just starting to come to grips with his entire past, and I think we will start to see some important bonding between Connor and Angel in the future.
Gwen & Nina: I'm putting them both together, because they are both serving the same function right now. They are familiar faces and are adding a much needed female presence to the team. That being said, they are both expendable as they just haven't grown into very important characters yet.
Groosaluug: - While Groo is expendable, I think he has a better chance of surviving than Gwen or Nina. He's one of the strongest fighters in the Buffyverse, so if any one can survive HelL.A., Groo can.

And "Captain America" (by Jack McNamara in "The Ring").
So are we figuring that Gunn was probably sired by a character we already know, rather than some anonymous Joe Vampire? 'Cause if so, that'd seriously narrow down the list of suspects...

I think Gunn definitely had to be sired by a vampire we have seen before, or else there'd be no reason to keep it a secret.
There's really only two vampires alive that we have seen before, and are still evil: 1. Harmony 2. Drusilla
I think Harmony is the most likely candidate. The only way I see Drusilla being involved would be if she was the one behind everything and has Gunn working for her.

And Dru seems too crazy and scatter-brained to mastermind much of anything, without a sane, stabilizing influence like Spike or Angelus alongside her to keep things on track. So, yeah, Harmony seems to make the most sense.
For awhile I'd been thinking that it had to have happened in the alley during the big fight, and couldn't figure out why Harmony would've been wandering by there, but now that we've seen in the last issue that the characters seem to have been popped out from wherever they were to different parts of "Los Angeles", then it's certainly possible Harmony and a nearly-dead Gunn could've ended up in the same place. Possibly even on purpose, by the Senior Partners, knowing what would happen and how much Gunn being turned would hurt Angel and the rest...

Harmony siring Gunn? Just imagining that sounds funny, in the sense that she would probably do it in a hilarious way. If anyone could screw up siring someone, its Harmony.

I think Wyndam nailed that character hit-list. Angel and Gunn will have died by the end of the season... imo.

I'm also thinking that Harmony sired Gunn. It would add a little more humor to the series and plus we haven't even seen Harm yet!
I also have a feeling Gunn is going to die.

2. Angel gets a new yet oddly familiar nickname in issue 9. Is no one else thinking this could be a Cordy is returning reference? She used to always give Angel new nicknames starting with Mr, like "Mr. I Was Alive for 200 Years and Never Developed an Investment Portfolio" and "Mr. "I'm so tortured". If she called him by a new Mr ... nickname, that'd be new but familiar, right? Or is it just me letting my shippery instincts take over again?

Mr. I Was Alive for 200 Years and Never Developed an Investment Portfolio LOL! That nearly made me spit out my water. That's one of my favorite Cordy lines, just so hilarious. And certainly an interesting theory as well, I can't wait to see what happens.

If Angel was turned into a vampire it wouldn't be the same character anymore. Wouldn't he have to be possessed by a different demon this time?

If Angel was turned into a vampire it wouldn't be the same character anymore. Wouldn't he have to be possessed by a different demon this time? Well three things might happen if Angel is turned back into a vampire: 1. Wolfram & Hart might turn him back into a vampire (if they did really turn him human in the first place), and in that case, he would be just like he was before he was human, a vampire with a soul. 2. He might be killed by another vampire and turned (whether by choice, or something else, who knows), so he would technically be a different vampire. he wouldn't be Angelus, but a new vampire with a new personality. 3. This is similar to #2, only that he would also have his soul returned when he was turned. The rules of his curse aren't exactly killed, so if he is turned back into a vampire, would his soul follow him as well? So what exactly might happen if Angel becomes a vampire again is anyone's guess.

Well, Darla was originally sired by the Master, then sired again by Dru in S2, and she seemed to be the same character afterward both times. I don't think it's ever been made clear one way or another if vampires are possessed by a specific, pre-existing demon, or if it's more of a generic demon that's "created", using the person's memories and personality as the main ingredients. I think I'd probably vote for Option B...

I think I'd probably vote for Option B... I'm with option B too. Didn't Darla say that "everything we are informs us" and that would include the formation of the demon, "the same love infects us" yadda yadda yadda. I took that to mean that personality of the demon is shaped by the human before it, but demon traits like strength and lineage are forged by the identity of the sire. AtF human Angel if he were turned now would be very different from Angelus after the curse removed the soul. Angelus rejected the guilt Angel felt when he re-emerged in Buffy season 2, but a newly vamped Angel from Atf would form its personality based on all of Angel's experiences. Whereas Angelus was initially formed based on Liam's limited experience. I figure the writer's will do it however they feel its most compelling and fits with where they want to take the story.

Me three for option B (hehehe, that rhymes!), also because Angel said in Doppelgangland that the human's personality basically just gets applified and evilfied, though obviously without the bad grammar.
Of Wyndam's scenarios, A seems the most likely. WR&H seem to be pulling all the strings down there, and I doubt they'd let some random run of the mill vamp sire him, and plus, even human Angel can take vamps.

Interesting that you say that becasue thats exactly what I one in my season 6 of Angel. I done a season 7 too and I'm in the middle of a Faith spin off too. Of course I didn't kill Gunn right after the battle I thought it would be more of a shock to let him survive and then kill him. The links to these are all underneath my Buffy/Fray banner.
