What is your favorite Buffy episode? Mine's "The Gift", with "Once More With Feeling" coming as a close second. Before I started this poll I made 7 others for the best Buffy episode of each season. I then took the top 2 or 3 voted Buffy episodes from each season and put them on here. So this gives a fairly accurate list of Slayy Alive's top 17 Buffy episodes.

Restless. It's just a completely different and stylish episode.

I had to go with "Passions". This episode was so well written and executed that I remember seeing it for the first time, even to this day. This episode and the others from this season are the most intimate I think of all of the Buffy episodes.

I had to go with "Passions". LOL reading that made me think of the Passions soap opera Spike likes to watch. Wouldn't it be funny if there had been a bizarro/dream Buffy ep modeled on 'Passions'?

The Body. It was a tough choice though.
I thought the top three in that list were... 1) The Body 2) The Gift 3) Restless

The Dark Willow Trilogy is definitely my favorite season finale arc.
But Normal Again deserves to get some votes. It's a mind bending episode.

Maybe i'm wrong but doesn't Normal Again creates continuity errors? I don't like that Buffy told her mom that she was a vampire slayer previous to the season 2 finale. In the finale when Buffy tells her mom she is the slayer, Joyce is clearly confused. I think she even asks what a vampire slayer is. But if Buffy had problems with that before and had told her Joyce would have said something like, you know vampires aren't real or something...

I can perfectly imagine that Buffy would have blanked out the fact that her mom didn't believed her and that she ended up creating an imaginary world where her mom does believe her when she says she slays vampires. The only thing I don't get is why she would have killed her off during season 5 if this world is supposed be her perfect place? I guess we could find some good explanation though, on a psycological level.

But just so I'm on the same page... we know for certain that Buffy DID in fact stay in mental hospital for a brief period. what is not clear is if she actually still there and the whole story we know to date is all inside crazy buffy's head. You know... we could actually consider all the Buffy's head stuff all the non canonical stuff (comics-n-such) that has come out. So it could kinda be official. Star Trek has the Mirrorverse. we could call the noncanonical stuff, the CrazyBuffyVerse. lol.

I loved "Lie to me." It was always one of those episodes, that although not the best, stuck with me for meaning...but Whedon is a genius so it's not surprising.
