First she is a glowing orb of energy. Then a whiny teenager having to deal with teenage stuff, and living in Sunnydale. Then after loosing her virginity she turns into a giant. Now a Centaur. Am I the only one sensing dawn might start going into a dark place? I know I would want to give up after that, lol.
Also isn't this the first time we have seen buffy drive a "car" in the series?

Buffy should seriously take driving lessons or else she'll might run someone over. I really love both covers. Now that I look at it closer, it does kind of look like Dawn. I really love the variant, Georges draws a very good Melaka.

I honestly thought it was Drusilla at first glance, its the penetrating eyes. Now though after that picture comparison I see Dawn. I hope that she doesn't actually turn into a cenitour cuz it is just such a bad plot. Make her normal again! Hopefully its a metophor, some whacked one at that!

Buffy also drove a car when she went to kill Principal Wood in "Him". The scene of her pulling into the parking lot is a classic.  |

I really think this bizarre change in Dawn isn't permanent, and that we might even see her change again soon. Bad things come in three's. Kenny is a Thricewise, maybe that's what this whole thing means. Buffy has had gods, all sorts of ridiculous demons, vampires, trolls, and robots! I don't understand how some are upset about a centaur. Just another mythical creature that has finally made an appearance in this verse. If we can have dragons and giants and trolls, why not more gentle, serene ones like a centaur?
Honestly, a centaur is much more believe-able than evil talking demon puppets!!!

Perhaps dawn, the key, is changing from human form to a creature of magic, a centaur, because Twilight is trying to ban magic, and therefor Dawn turns into one, so she can protect earth?
That's my best guess. Except that the guy Dawn cheated with was a centaur. Kenny cursed her with size because of the betrayl, and the centaur tried to impregnant Dawn, but since she's the key, she tiurns into one instead. Or having sex with a centaur turns you into one.

I don't know why Buffy seems okay with Dawn being gigantic. It's o.o.c., to me. I don't get why she hasn't beaten Kenny up yet, to get to the truth. |

What HAPPENED?! LOL! Can't wait to find out what Dawn goes through this arc and what the explanation of this is. Cool covers though, I like the "Buffy can't drive, not even in the futuristic cars" theme going on in the variant cover. I like the Buffy and cars "unmixy things" ongoing thing in the series. |

New covers!! i cant believe i took so long to read this thread! Anyway they look great i think dawns likeness is really good! and the cover looks amazing except she's a horse...or centaur or whatever she is And Buffy and fray in the future! how cool is that season 8 just keeps getting better and better with each issue  |

As for Harth's new sidekick - she looks too young to be Dru, I was thinking Dana - after all, we don't know what happened to her after Andrew and the Slayers took her. Perhaps they got her back to a semblance of normality - once the drugs wore off - and her ideology and Buffy's didn't mesh. She may have escaped and ended up in the future - who knows???  Just because Harth is a vampire, doesn't mean that the woman with him is one. A bad slayer and an evil vamp joining forces - maybe they are in love..... :vampirebite: |

Plus she's wearing a pretty victorian dress with all that frilly lace, completely Dru's style. |

I was thinking the same thing...since dawn was mystical energy that was "shape-shifted"into human form...maybe as the key she can change her own shape and size??
maybe joss is going to explore dawns key origins further in this arc?
