What are peoples thoughts on these figures? Personally, they are exactly what I have had in mind for the Buffy license sence the day i heard Buffy figures were in the workings at MAC. I can see these beeing a very popular alternative to people that can not afford the Essence of Buffy statues. What other characters/scenes do people want to see get this treatment?

NFA Illyria/Fred would be great! She could be standing throwing a punch, or you could switch out her head and one arm and have her kneeling by the NFA Wesley I want them to make. One Wes could be on the ground, and his other pose could be of him fighting Sylas.

I think it will be interesting to see the possibilities this line will create.
Maybe they could make some of them multi-character compatible, where more than one previously purchased character can be placed into future dioramas.
Another possibility would be making two or more characters from the same scene in the same episode with connecting dioramas to have one HUGE diorama on your shelf, etc.
I'm psyched for this.

I have added pictures to the first post.
The more I look at these, I am realising that my initial thoughts were innacurate. I actually like Angel better than Buffy.
Buffy is incredible too but Angel seems more accurate to me. His stance is the same as the essance statue as well which is cool for those of us who can not afford to buy all of the essence statues.

I am still gutted that they have canceled the basic figures. How the hell can they say they have done all the major figures and yet we still have no friggin Gunn. Bunch of muppets. Having said that I will wait to see what they do with Willow & Spike before I sign up for any of these.

Have they said that Willow and SPike will be next? I am not upset about that "cancelation" of the regular line becuase I had already stoped collection it when they announced it. I would have bought a gun and Riley figure though because (with the exception of Xander) I still liked their male figures. I can imagine Will in her dorm room with the option to be stiing in a spell circle! Spike would be cool if he could sit in his wheel chair or have a fighting pose. A black and white varient would be fun to but it is highly unlikely

Have they said that Willow and SPike will be next? No they have not, but its the way it normally goes. I am a little bit surprised they didn't choose Spike instead of Angel as the 1st male figure. DST just loves Spike.

I'm actually wondering about the packaging for this series. Would it be more boxed like the LOST figures since there is a display?

I wouldnt mind packaging like we are seeing for the Buffy plush items. The box Mr. Gordo comes in would be cool for these!

I am quite excited about this line!
buffyfanone - Could you please reduce the size of your photos as they are currently too big. Photobucket.com or a similiar site will allow you to do so. Thanks

I'm looking forward to this line as well, although looking closer at these images, I have to say I'm not so sure about the likenesses on both Buffy or Angel really.
Out of the two Angel seems the more 'confident' sculpt somehow, but we'll see what the final finished product looks like. *crosses fingers*
I do hope they do an action posed Spike and a Giles would be really nice, with maybe a section of Graveyard.

I have to admit that they are really interesting but I highly doubt I will buy them. Unless the final product and packaging are amazing.

Oooooh! NEAT! I didn't even know about this line til I just came across this thread! I think it'll be a good idea, if the DST-quality takes a turn for the better!

Oooooh! NEAT! I didn't even know about this line til I just came across this thread! I think it'll be a good idea, if the DST-quality takes a turn for the better! I agree! These look amazing and I love how statuette they look... however I have more than once been let down one the DST figures are released as they rarely look as good as the prototypes. If they do get produced to this quality I will be a very happy camper. The elaborate bases are amazing. Does anyone know how tall these will be? Can they be displayed with the 6" figs?

This is the first I've heard of these and I absolutely love the bases but I'm confused. Are these statues or figures? They don't seem to have much articulation--do they have any?

I can' wait for these to come out. They look great. Though I prefer Buffy not being on the dumpster, actually kicking something, I think it looks better there.

They look nice, but I'm not totally convinced by Buffy ... cant explain why. But the idea of several legs and head is good !

The more I look at Buffy, the more manly she looks. I know DST is capable of sculpting a beautiful femine body, just look at the essence of Buffy statue! This revamped Buffy looks 10 fold better than the biestly dst women we have become used to though!!
