Honestly, I'd rather have Dawn/Xander than Buffy/Xander. But both make me cringe.... a lot.

Gross if this relationships happen I am scared for the comic. It's totally out of character for this to happen and I don't care what anyone says. This wouldn't have happened on the show.

Dawn wasn't 19 or so on the show, either.

Maybe Dawn is Xander's "hook-up"?
I wouldn't mind it, seriously he brings out the best in her. My favourite Dawn scene in season 7 was their scene together in 'Potential' and my favourite Dawn scenes (aside from her arrival in Tokyo) have been with Xander this season. He gets her, he listens to her and she opens up to him when she wouldn't even tell Dawn the truth.
It's kinda sweet. Though I'd prefer Bander.

You guys I seriously think this is going to happen. Whether or not I really want it to happen, I think this is a set that is a) already being set up and b) something that is probably going last a very long time.
My two cents.

When I first read this topic I was thinking it would be very creepy. But thinking about it a little more made me think that I actually wouldn't mind it. This is a few years down the line, Dawn isn't 15 anymore. Plus, on the show we had 30-somethings playing 23 year olds and to match one of them up with Dawn would definitely have been creepy. But in comic form it is definitely something that could be done. 5 years is not a big age difference at all when you are an adult. It would have to be handled very well of course.
Reading #16 during Xander and Dawn's scene I actually got the whole setting up a relationship impression for the first time.

They are more like brother and younger sister to me, have been from the beginning. If anything I would rather Buffy and Xander hook up. Just, if one of them do hook up with Xander make it last, otherwise it will be very awkward for us int he end.

Other than "Potential", I don't think Xander and Dawn had all that many scenes just between the two of them. We only think of him as her big brother because Buffy is like his sister, and Dawn is Buffy's sister, ergo, Xander is like Dawn's brother. Based on what actually transpired on-screen, tho, I think Spike has more of the "big brother" vibe toward her than Xander does...

Buffy/Xander is of course the ideal, but I'd buy into Xander/Dawn if that's what they are setting up.
Sometimes I get the impression that Xander isn't "allowed" to be with any of the main characters because he's not broody mcvampire or something.

Sometimes I get the impression that Xander isn't "allowed" to be with any of the main characters because he's not broody mcvampire or something. I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, it's that Joss did such a convincing job turning Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Giles (and then later Dawn) into a family that I can't imagine them in any other way. Buffy/Xander, in S2 or 3, hey, I'm all for it, but now it's just incest-y badness. It's interesting that there was all kinds of Buffy/Xander speculation after the first few issues, and then one line in #16 is enough to generate two pages' worth of Xander/Dawn conversation, yet in 3 of the last 4 issues there have been scenes with strong Buffy/Willow 'shippy overtones, and I don't remember seeing that mentioned here even once. (BTW, I'm as opposed to Buffy/Willow as I am to Buffy/Xander or Xander/Dawn, and for the same reasons.)

Based on what actually transpired on-screen, tho, I think Spike has more of the "big brother" vibe toward her than Xander does... Spike has more of the cool big brother vibe but I also get a big bro vibe from Xander. I always got the feeling that Buffy, Xander, Willow were like two sisters and a brother. Then when Dawn came along she fit into there like she was the youngest sister. I can forgive Buffy and Xander possibly becoming a couple, it will be like realising you love your best friend after all of these years. dawn and xander just does nothing for me at all. As for mentioned Buffy/Willow Willow said in the comic that she wouldn't do anything with Buffy. It was more of a joke but I think that is why no one is talking about the innuendos between the two. Plus they are best friends, I would never have sex with my best friend but I always joke around with her about it.

Plus they are best friends, I would never have sex with my best friend but I always joke around with her about it. You could take Willow's "I never wanted to sleep with you, anyway" comment two ways: at face-value, or that she was feeling rejected and putting up a front (remember Spike's classic "Well, I never liked you, anyway, and you have stupid hair!"? How'd that work out?). Two issues earlier you have her asking what Buffy's like in bed (which I took as her just trying to cheer Satsu up and get her to smile and laugh, not that she actually wanted to know), and then in this issue, Buffy's "My Will" comment, that Kennedy rightfully jumped all over her for, because that was a little... odd. Buffy and Xander are best friends, aren't they? But there are still people who think something might happen there...

Love is frienship set on fire Buffy/Xander in a romance would be this completely natural character evolution with absolutely none of this inexplicable and imaginary incest -- we know they've been deliberately written with subtext throughout, and they were a few episodes away from actually being a thing in Season 7 before the plan was scrapped, and the subtext was heavy, so... incest? Heh? Xander/Dawn would work. It actually *would* have to change the dynamic, but the groundwork is being laid to do exactly that, and if its done slowly and deliberately enough, it shouldn't be a problem.
