Help Buffy LIVE Again!  Check out our animated commercial! Special thanks to Illyria's Pet! (and our very own SlayAlivers as the cast!):
The recent success of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog's internet release and the leaking of Buffy: The Animated Series has inspired us Buffy fans to want MORE Buffy. We want Buffy back in live action and we've got a plan. In fact, we've got a theory! We're looking to write a tiered list of proposals to FOX backed by carefully researched interest in the Buffy franchise. This proposal will cite the financial success of Buffy franchise (DVD sales, merchandise, Season 8 comics), the strength of the Buffy online fandom and the opportunities for capitalizing on the growing internet creative elements demonstrated by Dr. Horrible's recent and continued success. We want to show Fox they can make money by bringing the Buffyverse back to live action and we're going to show them how. So this means concrete evidence of financial success and examples of Buffy in the media put together in a proposal that is signed by as many Buffy fans as we can get a hold of. Once we have a petition signed and growing interest, we take this movement to the media outlets to get wider coverage. We are RESURRECTING the Buffyverse to live action. And we're thinking the most ideal and viable medium is ANIMATION, either broadcast or as webisodes and then later released on DVD. Areas we want to stir up interest in: 1) Buffy feature film. 2) Buffy The Animated Series brought back into production 3) Buffy Season 8 Animated 4) Spike movie or a Faith movie. Remember the talk about a Spike movie or a Faith tv show, well imagine if it were animated and James Marsters or Eliza Dushku returned to voice the character. 5) Fray Animated Series. So Buffy "Super fans" as Joss calls us, we need to unite and start to organize this petition. We need help collecting the research to write up this petition, make it a convincing business proposal to Fox backed by thousands of Buffy super fans yelling "We Want MORE". Areas to look for evidence: - Buffy cited in the media (ie polls for Best Tv Show of all time, RedEye's poll that voted her Best Superhero). Anything that shows Buffy's is iconic and still present in the public consciousness. - Financial Success (Buffy Dvd sales, Buffy merchandise sales, Buffy season 8 sales, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along blog stats) We've also had some ideas for once the petition is up and rolling to send in mini-stakes to FOX. And perhaps auctioning off cool Buffy customs and replicas to raise money to get this petition going. Cool Art Ideas and Ad Ideas
1) Computer Animated Commercial for BUFFY LIVES Petition. What if Illyria's Pet could make an animated commercial in the same style as his Animated Season 8, only it would be scripted to pimp out the BUFFY LIVES petition?
2) Petition Banners designed by the many Buffy Photoshop artistes online. In fact there could be banners, avatars, anything to get this idea out there on the internet.
3) Myspace page, facebook page, etc.
4) An advertising poster. Take the cover from issue 20 of Buffy/Xander/Willow watching the cartoon and say "The Scoobies want a Buffy cartoon. Don't you?" (Why are all my best ideas illegal? Sigh.)
5) An advertising poster. Take all the quotes from Buffy Voted Best and put them on a poster.

Okay, as requested by the magnificent Emmie, here are my ideas for the Buffy thingo.
Well, ofcoarse there is what Emmie has already stated:
1) Buffy feature film.
2) Buffy The Animated Series brought back into production
3) Buffy Season 8 Animated
4) Spike movie or a Faith movie (animated also).
5) Fray Animated Series.
I think that these are excellent ideas but i have a few more to add:
1) I think that there should be some sort of movie/animation/anything to tribute the death of Glenn Quin. Nobody else passed away during the making of our favbourite tv shows so i think he deserves a little something that we can remember him by.
2) I also think a Dark Willow vs. Illyria would make an excellent movie or animation film (this specific suggestion was harmindervamp's suggestion, not mine and i do not take credit for it).
3) An animation about all that jazz with the vengence demons, we don't hear from them very much these days (and besides their story is a little fuzzy).
4) Mix the funnys together for a hugely awsome Smile Time + Once More With Feeling extravaganza! This would mean either a huge comic book/book form of musical fun or a game would also be very cool! Whic brings me to my next point:
5) I think that there should be either a new Buffy game to express the sadnessof the end of the buffy show and also to take advantage of the amazing graphics available today or an Angel game. If I am not mistaken, we are yet to experience the joy of one of these.
And in conclusion to my list of hopefull suggestions, i have simply one thing to say:.....
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER AND ANGEL RULES!!!!!!!!

Creating a myspace comment quality photo with links to the petition would be a good way to spread the word from that standpoint. Secondly, ebay has a small Buffy group and if we could get intouch with them and the many Buffy sellers and have them advertise it might generate some attention. |

ok my ideas:
1. Buffy the Animated Series release on Dvd (The 7 Episodes of Completed Script)
2. Buffy Movie Between Season 7 & 8 that is canon.
3. Buffy Video Game for Consoles like the Wii, Ps3, and Xbox 360
4. Fray Animated (An animated version of the comic)
5. I love the idea of Buffy Season 8 animated, with each TPB getting it's own movie or something.
to add to hitnrun's list Buffy is rated as the 10th best show on television ever in Entertainment Magazine's 50th Issue or 50th year issue (I can't remember and don't have a link, sorry).

It could be something like Buffy and the gang are fighting in typical buffy style, then after she stakes, she could turn towards the camera and talk about the petition. |

Okay here are some of my ideas and thoughts...
Ideas:
1. Get a Buffy Animated series up(If not, just the DVD)
2. Maybe finally get the Ripper movie out(I don't think SMG would do Buffy again)
3. Maybe a Fray animated(Could be cool)
By the way, I NEED to comment the picture you guys threw together! I was like,"Wow! Where the hell did they get that?! Then I saw you guys had to make it....you guys did a awesome job with it!!!!!"
