I'm sorry but I think this prop is a very lame idea. I would much rather have the urn of osiris or the box from "hush."

I do like this prop but I agree they should've done the box from "HUSH" first. The box would have been amazing to have. The Urn of Osiris would be cool to have. I still don't understand why DST cancelled all of the worthy props that everyone wanted.

There are a lot of reasons why they would choose something like this over other more 'obvious props'. For one, since the Urn didn't show enough interest when they solicited it, any prop that is similar in nature - having a small amount of screen time, not associated with a main character, of a nick-knack nature, etc - they feel would return a similar response in terms of sales.
This doesn't really meet any of the above mentioned criteria, but it does have other things working for it. A big thing being it's wall mounted which people like. The Mr. Pointy would have sold better if it had been wall mounted, instead of a big clumsy display box, people didn't know where to put. With the dagger it falls under the weapon/sword category which always sell well for prop. reps. as they appeal to general sword/etc collectors as well as fans. Spike used it and Spike stuff always sells well and it Gothic in appearance which has appeal. It also fits within the iconics of the slayer/vampires - stakes, crosses, etc.
I think the prop itself is awesome, the price is lame though. Very overpriced. Like it's been said, it's not a main prop and should have been done at a lower SRP. I'm pretty sure it will end up being canceled due to lack of interest because it's just to much money for what it is - which isn't going to help DST's views on the support of the prop. rep. line.

The DuLac cross is no longer on DST's website, I guess this has been cancelled, as we expected.
Not that mind, I was never going to buy it...
I still wish for an urn of osiris!!!
