Jesse - supposedly the best friend, but forgotten after a day? Hmm. Maybe he should have come back for CWDP.
Anya - A scoobie for 4 years, and forgotten a la Jesse. Very sad.

I'm leaning more towards Cordelia but same with Anya but yeah' it seemed like that they just dropped them and nobody really cared for it.

I would say Jesse as well. While he wasn't a main character,he was Xander and Willow's friend and it would seem that he was simply forgotten by them.
I also thought that Xander going to Dracula after Anya's death was stupid

I voted for Anya. There really wasn't a lot of time in the show for everyone to mourn but she was a vital part of the Scooby Gang. I also thought it was kind of strange that Xander was not more of an emotional wreck once the bus stopped and he talked to Andrew.

For me Cordelia i mean c'mon right after the episode You're Welcome IMO is barely affected it's like she never existed.
Oh and Tara i wish they showed more of Dawn mourning or Buffy and her Funeral.
BTW did the scooby's ever find out about Cordy and how come Cordy never crossed over to Buffy

I brought up Jesse, but I voted for Cordelia. Don't get me started on what they did with her character in the first place (one of the best on the show IMO). I just feel that the character was treated badly and wasn't given the respect that she earned and deserved.
With Anya, I think it comes down to the fact that she died within like the last 5 minutes of Chosen, had it been before the last episode I think it would have been addressed. I think it would have been a mistake for Joss Wheon to start S8 a year or so down the line and have everyone moping around over Anya. That would have been depressing.

I also thought it was kind of strange that Xander was not more of an emotional wreck once the bus stopped and he talked to Andrew. I could see that Xander was emotional. I think he was just trying to hold it together b/c he didn't want anyone to see him so upset right then. I like to think that after all the chaos was over, the scoobies did find time to mourn Anya and Spike's passings. (And if you're reading S8, then you know that Xander did mourn Anya's death).

BTW did the scooby's ever find out about Cordy and how come Cordy never crossed over to Buffy Ya know, i always wondered the same thing. It would have been nice to see a reaction from them, especially Xander. I had always wished that Xander would make a guest appearance on Angel so that he and Cordy could've saw each other again. It would've been interesting to see how they would've acted around each other.

I also thought it was kind of strange that Xander was not more of an emotional wreck once the bus stopped and he talked to Andrew. Yeah, a lot of people are saying that that would be their reaction if someone they loved died, so I guess that was Xander's reaction But me, I mean, I get news like that, which I have, I cry right when they say it, for how long I don't know. But then the next day nothing. That's it, that's it for the crying. I keep thinking about how much I miss them, but I mean, when I get that kind of news he did I'd just sit and cry right there... but I guess Joss didn't want to distract from the rest of finale...

Cordelia, I think. As many have said already, she was on the show for years and was barely mentioned after she died... I don't really get why people are voting Anya so much. There was only a few minutes left of the whole series, they're not gonna use that time crying over Anya, as much as I love her. Plus I'm sure everyone was pretty focused on 'yay we're alive' in that last scene. At least she got the scene with Xander and Andrew, the two closest to her. I also agree about Jesse, but I guess because they knew he was only meant to be in the first episode, they just wantd to forget about him and get on with the show. But from a realism point of view, that was pretty bad! They'd made him out to be one of Xander and Willow's best friends, and it seems like they barely cared... Although many haven't voted for her, and I may be slightly biased , but I think Tara should have recieved way more than she did. Yeh she got a big reaction from Willow, before going evil, and the grave visiting, but apart from her and Dawn evryone else's reaction was just like ' Tara's dead?! Anyway, coffee anyone?' Especially Buffy, and considering all that Tara and Buffy did for each other that season, she should have showed more of a reaction. Would have been nice to see some kind of funeral scenes at the end of Season 6, after Willow's back again, but before the Spike cliffhanger, in a sad musicy montage kinda thing.

except Dawn was like huddling in a corner sobbing over Tara's body... and Buffy cried at a point... I'm just saying that Tara got more mourning than Anya did. I mean, I'm not saying they all should have broke down that would have been stupid but I'd love a little more of a reaction from Xander at the end... I do agree with Cordelia though, but the thing is I never watched Angel, so I didn't know about any of that 'till now.

I agree with what everyone is saying about Jesse, he should have been mentioned again. (I think he was he mentioned once in a later season?)
I think all of the main character deaths were properly mourned, and the ending of 'Chosen' was appropriate. The whole point of the episode was fighting for what you believe in, that people will die, and that those who survive should live life and be happy for what everyone fought for. So when everyone was 'happy' at the end, I thought that was appropriate.

As much as I am a die hard Spike fan and wanted to choose him through loyalty lol...I have to agree that Anya's death wasn't mourned properly. Every time I watch Chosen I feel so sorry for her, she went out fighting and died a Hero yes. But was it respected and mourned properly, I think not. I mean come on...Andrew(You know,Tuckers Brother?) or Principal Wood, one of those pesky little potential/newly turned slayers could have died instead. I see no objections for Rhona lol? But Anya! Hence the lovely Anya poster I have in my room. Floppy, Hoppy, Bunnies!

Cordy obv. I can see why she wasnt mentioned for a while after "You're Welcome" since the producers wanted to keep the ending sooper-secret (only David and Charisma's scripts had it), but it doesn't seem worth it in the long run. I think "Why We Fight"'s reputation as one of the worst episodes can be chalked up almost entirely to the lack of respect for Cordy's death.

Oh there was a lot of issues with this topic for me. First of all, Jesse. Yes, he was a minor character because WE only knew him briefly but Willow and Xander were long time buds with him from my understanding.Even if they didn't know each other from kindergarten this is the first time they deal with someone close to them dying! BY VAMPIRES! Now maybe it wasn't focused on because it was the first couple episodes and Joss didn't want to give the show that much of a dark vibe but thinking about it emotionally it's silly that is seemed to bother them as little as it did.
Cordy...I just want to know what Xander's reaction was. Also, it would have been nice if they actaully had some kind of funeral. I mean...cmon...with all that Wolf,Ram and Hart money they could have had a pretty expensive funeral. Give the character a send off she deserves. Let that be the moment he snaps into the mindset of taking down the circle of the black thorn.
Anya, well, what bothered me about Anya was it seemed inappropriate that Xanders last words were something about Starbucks and he had a little smirk on his face. The women he loved is dead! I still think that finale should have been 2 hours. It always feels it bit rushed to me.
Tara and Joyce got dealt with fine. Hell, Willow flayed Warren becasue of her death and almost destroyed the world. Joyce got one of the most emotional send offs.

most definitely Anya! Cordy could've been mourned a little more too, but i felt that the way "You're Welcome" ended it was easy to tell that that was it. it wasn't going to be discussed. there was a finality to it, but Anya didn't get that.
