Thank you! + Karma Should be interesting to see how they're going to squeeze that monster of a book into 30 issues. Also how they're going to "translate" Nick Andros into this medium -- tricky. Well, they squoze roughly 800 pages of "Wizard and Glass" into just 6 issues (tho not very well), so compared to that, this is like having a crazy amount of extra space to work with. It'll still have to be abridged somewhat, obviously, but hopefully not too much. And the writer has said it could grow longer than 30 issues if he realizes he needs more space for certain portions. Nick, well... I guess they'll probably use a lot of thought-boxes, and other characters reading his notes aloud...

I wish they would explore other areas besides Roland. I know he is the main character but there was so much that was barely touched on I wish they would delve deeper into sub/side stories that King didn't get too. What about the early days of North Central Positronics? Or maybe the city of Lud? There are

Recently I've been really enjoying the new Kull series. It's terrific. Plus, Hellboy's better now than I think I've ever seen it, and that's really saying something.

Currently reading: Buffy season 8 Runaways Y: The Last Man Fables Watchmen (even though it's not a series and I'm reading it for the third time.)
Planning on reading: Angel: After the Fall Spike: After the Fall Sandman Possibly the Serenity comics, but I don't think it would be that great in comic book form...it lacks the superheroey quality that Buffy and Angel have.

I'm a fan of writers:
Several People have mentioned Y: The Last Man. It is the reason that I read comic books. The series ended last year, so there are 10 trades (or a series of harcovers that have started coming) to read. Runaways is excellent. Really anything by Brian K. Vaughn (Y, Runaways, Logan-his Wolverine book, Pride of Bahgdad is amazing)
In addition:
Preacher (Garth Ennis) is sooo good, but pretty edgy Planetary (Waren Ellis) is fantastic
I'm also a big fan of Grant Morrison: New X-Men, We3

I'm also a big fan of Grant Morrison: New X-Men, We3 Grant Morrison's New X-Men is up there with Joss' run on AXM. In fact, Joss' AXM pretty much stole a lot of plotlines from Morrison's tenure.

I loved New X-Men. It was so cool seeing the Wild Sentinels again (I always wondered what happened to them; how could a robot the size of an island just disappear?) And speaking of Mr. Morrison, has anyone here read Final Crisis?

In addition to" ANGEL: AFTER THE FALL (I am rereading the series) ANGEL: AFTERMATH ANGEL: SMILE TIME BUFFY: SEASON 8 I am reading: The Dresdin Files Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter Fringe Broken Trinity
And to think, if it wasn't for Buffy Season 8, my comic experience would have been limited to Archie, Classic Comics and Donald Duck (in the 1960's).
