Friday night was a good night in Los Angeles. I attended the first ever Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog screening and sing-along and it was great fun! First, Felicia Day addressed the crowd before a screening of "The Guild", which was received with lots of laughing out loud. Then there was a break, and prizes were raffled off. Then it was time for Dr. Horrible. Much like the Buffy sing-alongs they had ways to interact with the show as you watch! Goodie bags could be purchased for $5, and they included a "Bad Horse Finger Puppet", mini curtains (Lacy, gently wafting curtains), bubbles to blow when Billy and Penny are at the Coin Wash, your very own lock of Captain Hammer's hair, and more!
After the screening, some special guests jumped on stage including Joss himself, with his brothers Jed (as Kurt Cobain) and Zack (as Magnum PI), as well as Nathan Fillion (as a character from Ninja rope?) and Maurissa Tancharoen. Overall a good time, and great job by the folks at Whedonopolis. I hope there are more sing-alongs, and if you get a chance go to one!
