I thought I would create a thread for each book in the Twilight series. This was we don't always have to use the spoiler buttons.
In this thread you can discuss the final book of the Twilight saga Breaking Dawn

Well, what can I say, this book was a shocker My friend told me all about the book just before I read it and I thought she was joking. Even though I knew what was going to happen I was still shocked. Arrghhh. Rosallie really annoys me in this book. Although I can totally see where she is coming from, she is still getting on my nerves. I thought it was great how the baby grows so quickly. It makes alot of sense due to the chromosomes. And I would also hate having to wait 9 months for Bella to have the kid. Bellas birth scene seemed a little gory. Im not sure how they are going to cover that one in the movie Jacob annoys me at the begining of the book, I kinda come around to him later. I think I would have hated him forever if Meyer didn't let us inside his head. I wasn't at all surprised at how Bella copped with becoming a vampire. Its not something I was happy about but I would have hated reading the book from her point of view when all she is thinking about is blood. I felt so sorry for Bella when they wouldn't let her near Nessie, like dear God guys back off and give the woman her kid. And Jasper was over the top protective But I still think he is cute. And I wanted a battle at the end Bit I suppose I can't get everthing I want I really hope there will be a follow up. Meyer left it in a place where she could always add more, but thats only if she wants too

Breaking Dawn seemed like a book from an entirely different series. Bella has a baby? And she named it Renesmee. I just can't get past the name. And I did think the lack of a fight at the end was really anticlimactic. I get that Meyer didn't want to kill off her characters, but I feel like that's just not the way things would pan out. And I was a little irritated that Bella was such an amazing vampire. A narrative from a blood-thirsty vampire might have been a little bit hard to read, but I feel like some things just don't have to work out well.. I wouldn't have to suspend my disbelief quite so much if she tried to rebel at least a little bit.

I got this book at midnight, when it came out. Had it done in 24 hours. The book sucked. I hated the whole plot. I hated how it changed into Jacob's point of view. I hated how Jacob fell in love with Bella's child. I hated how nothing happened. It built up a lot of tension, and then nothing. I really hated this book.

Really? It wasn't an AMAZING book, but it wasn't all that bad. Although at times it did seem like a bit of a soap opera with all the surprise storylines

This summer my sister and my cousin both read the Twilight books at the beach, and they both liked Breaking Dawn the best. They suggested that it actually had plot, whereas the others mostly consisted of 'Edward is perfect'. That's their opinion I guess. I would probably rank Breaking Dawn at 3 of the 4...

Personally I would rank Breaking Dawn as 2 out of the 4. Its not really all that bad, just when its compared to most of the others.

Yeah, it isn't so bad. Rosalie really gets on my nerves in the middle of the book though. I get why she acts like that, but I still want to slap her upside the head.
