...recommendations.
I'm starting to fall in love with comics. I follow Buffy, Angel, Runaways and Fallen Angel but now I'm looking for something new.
I'm not into action comics with big fights and blood and magic and all that, but that doesn't mean that I don't want a supernatural element to my comics, but there's shouldn't be fighting and/or spellcasting on every page.
The heroes/heroins should be human-ish, I'm not looking for someone indestructable.
Also, if there's boobs showing on every page and the heroin dresses like a playboy girl, no thank you.
Anyone who has any recommendations? Don't worry, I won't scold you in case a lady in the comic you recommend dare to show her ankle lol
I'm looking for a bit of everything, there's no need for a good vs evil theme. Seeing God bake cookies could probably be fun too.

Have you heard of Neil Gaimen's Sandman books? They were the first graphic novels I ever read, and really opened my eyes to the potential of the medium. They're award winning, critically acclaimed, and totally mind-blowing. Great for mythology fans. My other favorites are Y - The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn, and The Watchmen by Alan Moore (the great bearded wizard of North Hampton.) And I gotta pick up Everybody's Dead now...

I can second the Y: The Last Man recommendation. Easily the greatest comic series I have ever read, after Angel: After the Fall. Everybody's Dead is great as well. I also read The Walking Dead, it is another of my favorites. It is pretty mature though (language/graphic violence), so just a warning there.

I'm just getting into Y: The Last Man but the first two volumes were great so I plan to keep reading. It's a very intelligent series about the realistic effects of every man on Earth dying. Everything Brian K Vaughn writes is gold, we were so lucky to have him write an arc of Buffy. If you like Spider-Man, I'd definitely recommend picking up the TPBs of Ultimate Spider-Man. That's a very grounded, well-paced superhero series that starts the Spidey mythos from the beginning. Peter is genuinely funny in it (I found Tobey Maquire a bit annoying in the movies) and the entire cast is strong and likable. I'd even compare it to Buffy, in that the relationships and personal drama take precedent over superheroics, it's a very human story. You should also look into Invincible by Robert Kirkman. It's a "classic" superhero story about a teenager who develops powers and decides to follow in his superhero-father's footsteps. The book is very simple but charming, and quickly sucks you in with it's likable characters. Like Ultimate Spidey, it's a very human story; there's loads of action but it's the characters you care about. Plus there's a guy called Allen the Alien in it, and if that doesn't make you smile then you're dead inside.

I have never read many Marvel or DC comics as the mythology tends to get way too confusing for me, but since this series seems like a fresh start, I may give it a try. Only other "Superhero" comics I have read are a few Batman stories (Frank Miller's, Long Halloween, Killing Joke, etc.).

Well, Ultimate Spidey was created specifically back in 2000(?) to cater for people who were confused by Marvel's complicated continuity. The Ultimate universe as a whole has gotten a bit complicated itself over the past nine years, but the Spider-Man title is perfectly accessible on it's own. They retained the same writer and artist for over 100 issues, which is one of the longest runs in comic history, so the quality is pretty consistent. Even the less interesting stories have fun dialogue and characterization. Plus there's fun cameos from other Marvel characters. Human Torch is a recurring guest character, while Kitty Pryde is Peter's girlfriend at one point and basically a cast regular.
