Well, I'm glad to hear I won't have to endure 5 issues of Harmony. If it's just one issue, it might even be a good thing. Maybe this could get interesting. Anybody else think this is the sort of thing that would *really* annoy Dracula?

Kind of off topic, I guess, but the two dogs Harmony is holding in the first picture look EXACTLY like the kind my friend's sister owns. Perhaps Harmony will be this new leader, or the person who made vampires so popular...
Maybe it has something to do with her betreal of the Angel Team?
Or maybe she did some mojo like Johanthan did and made herself famous. It would be so Harmony to do this...

Can't say that I'm overly excited for the issue, but I'm sure since its based around Harmony that it will definitely be a fun romp in the park. The covers fit Harmony's character very well, and Jo hasn't forgotten how to draw, but they're not overwhelming or anything.
That said, Harmony's episode in Angel S5 was one of my favorites, so if this book is anything like that (plus Jane's writing it) I'm sure it'll be a fun read.

ive not been this excited since the comics began! HARMONYYY ISSS BAAAACKKKKK!!! wonder how she got out of hell, something that has been bugging me since beginning of After the Fall! I love Harmony cannot waaaiiiittt!!!!

I'm WAY more excited for Harmony's return than I am for Satsu's. Never got into her story and she's no where near as deeply developed as Harmony. "Harmony deep?" is just what I felt when I read that sentence. Tt made me chuckle. ;D And I have to say that yes, you're right, Andrew wasn't a returning character, he was never gone. I see your points about Drusilla, Dracula etcetc. too, but I have to say, not all that is old is good. But that's just me. I think the main problem I have with returning characters is that i forget that After the fall and season 8 are different series. It's the same verse, so I think, "But Gunn didn't die, nina's back, and Groo and Fred didn't die and Amy and Warren is back and..." it's hard to review the different series seperatly. If we get one more returning character in After the fall I will connect that to season 8. (I've heard spoilers about who'e returning in issue 12. I was so "Another person back from the dead?!?) And then there's the other returning chacater in season 8. I know that it might take several months between every reacurring character, but i'm stuck in my tv-show-season-thinking. it seems kinds silly now when i think about it. It's not like we get a old character back every week, just every other month. |

Yeah, I'm not liking the variant much either.
When I first saw the icon at the top of the Season 8 thread, I thought "Anya?" but then I was like...that's not Anya.
Anyway...I'm still waiting on issue 18.

Like how Brian K. Vaughn did in No Future For You.
So its basically going to show us Harmony and what she's up to
and it will give us updates on Buffy and what's happening with her and the Scooby Gang.
Ya know what I mean? Sorry if I'm confusing. Yeah, I'm also not a big fan of the variant either. But w/e. |

I really hate the variant. It is quite possibly Jeanty's worst variant. I usually like his variants, sometimes more than the immaculately painted Chen covers, but this one made me barf a little in my mouth. Then I realized that it was supposed to be Harmony, and a little more barf came up. But the exposed bra strap is genious though! Trust Harmony to still be stuck on that passe trend. |
