1. People knocked out and tied up. Probably never was an ep of Buffy or Angel where this didn't happen to someone
2. Characters back from the dead but not in a Dallas Bobby Ewing in the shower sort of way
3. Characters go bad and then good again
4. Gay subtext (and eventually text)
5. Kinky subtext (and eventually text)
6. Snappy dialogue (because no one ever wrote a book called The Quotable 'Charmed')
7. Actors turning up from one Wheldon show into another
8. Good continuity, minor details in early shows should have greater significance later
9. Great action sequences
10. Strong female heroines
