Again, please keep the post spoiler-free(ish) or mark your spoilers in your reviews of the issue.

Great issue. Easily the best since #16 or #19, imo.

It was great that Harmony had a cameo in this issue. I was afraid that this arc would have all five issues isolated from one another, but this issue seems to show a nice weave work.

I thought it was good. Don't know how to do the spoiler thing, so that's all I will say.

It was good. WAY better than #20 and #21, of course, but not Buffy level stuff.

Isn't there a thread designed for discussion of spoilers in the issue?

Isn't there a thread designed for discussion of spoilers in the issue? If people want to explain their reasoning for why they voted the way they did, it'd make sense to have it Spoiler tagged. If people are only wanting to view this as a litmus test before reading it, that is. And hey, Tie's thread so his rules.

Isn't there a thread designed for discussion of spoilers in the issue? Well, yeah there is. But that's usually for discussion. If people want to come for a quick "hey, what did everybody think of the issue?" instead of flowing threw all the theories and such...then this is the place to come. If people have to wait to read the issue and don't want spoilers but want to see how it was...the spoilers get tagged therefore making it click-able and not ENTIRELY removing the spoilers for people that HAVE read the issue. Comprendo? Because, the last time I went looking for what people thought of #19 in the discussion thread...I got like a HUGE spoilers because someone bolded it and put it in front of their post. This takes that away from people. Does that make sense?

This takes that away from people. Well, the discussion thread for each issue will contain spoilers the day of the issue. No spoiler tags in the official discussion threads of the issue. But spoiler tags if you're in a Buffy discussion thread and talking about something that'd just happened in AtF.

I'm just going with ok for right now. I was doing my taxes yesterday so I shouldn't have been trying to fit in entertainment. The story was cute. It was fun to check in with Satsu. It was inspired to team Kennedy and Satsu up. Ultimately though, for me, it read pretty flat. Swell probably took the There werent really any wow moments.
I also think the misogyny was taken a little too far. "Rip out their F*cking Ovaries!"....really? Without any real background on Swell other than knowing he is in league with Twilight, I'd say having a character scream something like that, even for the slightly edgy Buffyverse, is really too much.

Not terrible but just a bit boring and pointless. Another issue; another waste of time.
When the hell is something going to actually *happen* in Season 8? please, god
Angel: ATF had more interesting things happen in its first three issues than Season 8 has had in its whole 22 issues thus far

Yeah, even in its weakest moments, "boring" is not an accusation I'd make against Season 8.
I think it's the most interesting comic I've read since "Transmetropolitan." And that's saying a lot.

It has layers and subtexts. There are things dating all the way back to probably issue 1 that we won't understand untill later issues. Buffy and Angel are like children I love them both equally (well Angel more sometimes but still)

I gave it a good. I was expecting a tad more....because my hopes were way high after the awesome previews we got...but I'm content. A HUGE improvement from #21 (which IMO was the WORST issue of Buffy I have read thus far) and I enjoyed it overall.

Buffy and Angel are like children I love them both equally (well Angel more sometimes but still) ATF is 17 issues (21 including Spike: ATF) whereas Season 8 is 40, so its about double the size. So 22 issues of Buffy is the equivalent of about #9 or so with ATF, by which a tonne of more interesting and actual *plot* had happened. I'm bored of this whole "oh it'll matter later" stuff, I want it to matter NOW Once again I was hoping for Twilight to feature a bit in this issue, but no. I mean I have to ask, *is* he the Big Bad of this season? Really? Because I can barely remember what he looks like he's featured so little No Future For You was interesting but *really* didn't need to be four issues, it could easily have been done in three, or frankly two. Wolves at the gate also felt like a huge waste of time "Buffy and co go to Japan and fight some vampires. The end" Yes there was other going on there, but I just feel the stories so far have all been such fluff. Where's the beef?!

I loved it. I thought it was VERY Buffyesque... like something you would see on the actual show. The enemies... were funny and awesome.

Fun and all, but fluff. Nothing has consequences.
