I know it's not a lot, but I saw that 1x01 Ghost is #5 on the itunes tv show downloads for the week! That's a good sign, in some way!

I am not sure, but I would place it in the good category. That means that FOX is eventually profiting from Dollhouse and that people are interested, and they snatched it up, pretty much as soon as possible.

yeah... the networks take: Demographics, online downloads, online views (youtube, hulu, fox.com, etc.), ratings, and DVR numbers. into account when the show is in hiatus.

It definitely doesn't hurt. Buying the show online (through iTunes and Amazon) is figured into the bottom line when FOX looks at their numbers and profit. The most immediate benefit from this though, is that it helps the show gain awareness, and if people like what they see after buying the pilot, will hopefully tune in next week, DVR it, or buy more episodes.

That's pretty good! If the Hulu and DVR numbers are good, too, maybe Dollhouse actually has a chance of surviving past season 1.

That's great, I didn't know about the DVR numbers. I'll DVR it and watch it at the same time, that has to be like double the watching in FOX's eyes, right? I will just start watching it in as many ways possible, and I'm sure many of us have watched it online as well. Hopefully this helps, especially to raise viewership for next week as well.

I mean, technically if you just burn it onto your own DVD and watch it yourself, then it should be fine. That's what a lot of people do with purchased itunes music.
