This show has no idea how to write good villains or (for that matter heroes anymore). Peter has become over the top full of himself. Nathan (one of the most beloved characters) is now evil. There are even rumors that the heroes will turn to Syler to kill him. If this happens I am done with the series. You can not have the heroes team up with the villain to help him take out a man (for many of them family) who is not even threatening anyone’s life. As for villains Adam was wonderful they killed him off pointlessly just to show, hey look how powerful the new villain is. To have a good villain you need to have something redeemable about him. Killing Ell for no reason took that from Syler. He had her power already so it was a “hey look how evil Syler is moment.” The best villains, Magneto, Arven Slone, the mayor… all had human sides that made you care about them even when you wanted them stopped. Slyer has lost that and no matter what they do with him he can never get that humanity back. Now he seems to care about this new kid. I still expect him to kill the kid because he has no limits. He used to kill only to gain power. Look at season 1 he actually asked for help because he didn’t want to blow up NY there was no gain for him. Now he seems to have fun killing for the sake of the kill

I completely agree. I don't think there's a single character on the show I can tolerate anymore...they completely ruined my favorites from season 1 (Peter, Claire, Sylar) and killed off my favorites from the other seasons (Adam and Elle.) And the plotlines aren't much better...they re-use them over and over until they think that people are starting to notice, and then they come up with a new one that has some potential but immediately gets ruined by the terrible writing.
At this point, I think Heroes is pretty much a lost cause. I kept watching and expecting it to get at least a little bit better, but after last week, I decided it was a waste of time and now just watch the new episodes on Hulu if I'm really bored and have nothing else to do. It's such a shame, because back in season 1, I was in love with it.

I think this series hasn't been that bad although: PETER: needs to calm down a bit and realise that he's not the BIG hero that he seems to like pretending to be. MATT: spot on I like where his charatcer is going except that ramdom "painting the future" power that he somehow got. I hope that gets explained. MOHINDER: A bit more interesting this year. I'd like to see him taken out in a blaze of glory (and gun fire) sort of redeeming himself for what he did in season 3. I suppose we got a bit of that though in the latest episode NATHAN: as long as he can contain his little capture situation I kind of agree with him. How many more out of control people with abilites was it going to take before someone stepped up and actually did something about it. Peter, Ted, Syalr, Adam, Arthur, bad-ish villians from S3...the lis goes on and on. But we all know that bossy guy is going to take over the operation and start killing them all...bad Nathan, but he'll pull the "I was so determined with what I was doing I became blind as to what I've become...I'm sorry" *big hugs, all is forgiven* NOAH: Niiiice, he's stayed my favourite charatcer since S1 HIRO AND ANDO: booooring but others like them so I guess they're sticking around ANGELA: Very interesting I like the idea of her and Noah scheming together CLAIRE: Ugh shut up and stop monaing, totally becoming the Dawn of the Heroes vesre which is ashame becuase her charatcer had and still has a lot of potential. TRACEY: I'm just glad she was kidnapped, the less of her the better. Thats about it I've listed a few of the good and bad of this season. I more or less have enjoyed whats been shown so far, it still has a bit to go and that is where I'm getting worried becuase thats where it usually all goes wrong. It's like the plan the beginning and the end but the middle they just make up and twist events and charatcers until they get to it. Oh well...I'd rate Heroes like this SEASON 1 SEASON 4 SEASON 2 SEASON 3 Anyone else agree? Is this even season 4 or season 3 part 2??

This isn't currently season 4, just Volume 4. Technically Volume 4 is the last half of Season 3.
