Wow I wonder if this is true? Interesting role for Alan Tudyk to take. Going to be great but I imagined someone a lot different from Alan Tudyk to play Alpha. Although I think Alan could pull off psycho quite well and I mean that in a good way. He is funny so put him in a dark room, creepy smile and tell a few scary jokes it could go quite well. Having said all this, this news isn't even from a reliable source: whedon.info is just a collection of links and news from other sites and there doesn't seem to be a link as to where this information orignially came from. Still...duscuss, what do you all think?

Yeah I think he could pull of creepy very well. I think I said this above but just picture it:

If Alexis can pull off creepy and evil then Alan can and seem like the most friendly people you could ever meet. This is going to be great!!

Okay. I was majorly doubting these rumors until I saw the pictures. Now I'm a true believer.

....BUT I must say that I am 100% positive that it was not Alan Tudyk in "The Target" shower scene. I have all of the episodes in HD on iTunes, and in HD you get a VERY clear picture of Alpha's face in the shower scene. I paused it, saved it, and have studied it thoroughly. I am POSITIVE that it is not Alan Tudyk. I did go back to check--but it wasn't just me. It's definitely not him. Someone mentioned body doubles, though. I would be a little mad if they clearly broke continuity the way that an obvious body double would---but it might have been a HUGE letdown if we had known that it was Alan from the start.

I remember reading that they had used doubles to throw people off the scent. However, it's not really a break in continuity as Alpha could just have had a couple of cosmetic augmentations to cover his trail. Easy enough...

2-Does it really matter? His face was hidden well enough that it's a null point. Saying "OMG THAT WASN'T HIM!" is arguing for the sake of arguing. Should we do the same with stunt-doubles? Same basic principle.

Methinks that the major spoiler wouldn't be the identity of the actor playing Alpha, so much as what Alpha's agenda really is.
That's a spoiler that I wouldn't want to be spoiled about. The actor... big deal. More interested in the character.

1--No, it hasn't.
2--And I wasn't complaining or arguing. I'm very sorry that it came across that way.

It's just that before reading this post or the release of these pictures, I had intently studied the one shot of who I thought might be Alpha. I guess I went about saying it the wrong way. I wasn't upset; I was merely pointing out that it was most definitely not Alan Tudyk in the shower.
