New Non-Canon Buffy comics?

A Non-Arc comic series entitled "Buffy" is slated to hit shelves October, 2008. Two more installments to the series are currently being written by the novel's creator, Jensen Noe, and the artwork for the 10 installments are completed.

Below are the first three installments of Buffy.

Hmm.... interesting. I doubt it's true since the only source is Wikipedia and there has been no other news about it. But if something comes out of this, then cool!

Why the heck would someone release a graphic novel called Buffy unless it was related to the Buffyverse? Thats just weird. I googled the supposed writers name and came up empty.
