..after band candy? i thought they woulda been great, plus giles was already like buffy's father figure, i thought joyce and giles had alot of potential together. it woulda been better to see joyce be a bigger part in buffy's life as well

No. I can honestly say I ever really wanted that. Not that it would necessarily be bad, but it seemed a lot more like a one time joke than a real thing. I personally would be kind of interested in seeing Giles with his girlfriend from Hush.

Howeverm I wouldn't have wanted Olivia to be a recurring character. |

I wouldn't have liked to see them together properly. "Band Candy" was fun, but I think thats as far as they should have taken it and they did so it's OK. I think that Giles was Buffy's father figure, but if Giles had become her actual step-dad I think it would of ruined it in a way.
