Did anyone else think that in Season 6 it was horribly unfair that Buffy was forced to work at the Double Meat Palace while both Willow and Tara lived in the Summer's house and did what...NOTHING! The girl came back from the dead and continues to fight evil. They could at least get part time jobs. Slackers.

Never thought about that. They were in School though werent they? I am pretty sure Buffys wages would have never kept that beautiful big house though. And Buffys clothes that girl has some wardrobe, very costly!

Willow & Tara were both at college and Buffy wasn't. I always thought Willow would tutor students like in highschool for money. That's why I thought she didn't have a job. Not sure about Tara though...

I think it was just easier for the writers to keep them in school and focus only on Buffy's new job at the doublemeat palace.

i always thought it was hysterical how they moved into her house the moment she died. That house got a LOT of use by various people over the years. They were in college, though. Of course, Buffy wanted to be, so it's not a great excuse. Shouldn't the Watcher's Council pay slayers so they can devote all their time to slayage? Maybe they did, and they just cut Buffy off when she seceded.

Willow, tara and dawn all lived in that house, living off food willow magics out of thin air, and as soon as buffy's back its like 'hey welcome back, get a job, you got bills to pay'. Its the same in season 7, theres like 40 people living in that house and buffy's the only one with a job, a job she said didn't pay well.

i always thought the same thing. I worked through college. So can tara and willow. and dawn...maybe it would have given her some freakin depth.... but yeah, i thought it was crap that all these people had been living in her house, using her money, ripped her out of heaven to work at a fast food joint. HELP OUT would ya?! Willow's got quite the wardrobe at that point, too! these threads are great....i have the same thoughts and reactions, but now we are talking about them! yay!

I think it was easier for them to write it, but I was sitting there going wtf?? You're sitting her down telling HER that SHE'S out of money when YOU used it all when she was dead and now SHE has to get a job while you guy just go to school. I realize university is difficult, I've been there but you can handle a part time job and school especially when you're not living in your parents house but freeloading off your just back from the dead best friend

Also, to add to this discussion...didn't Buffy mention that the gang had used up all of Joyce's savings/life insurance money as well? While Buffy was dead I mean. How could that be?! She wasn't gone for -that- long.
