I have always agreed that Willow was not necessarily always gay. She might be at the moment - or since Tara - but I don't see why it has to be a gay/straight thing. Why can't it be a love thing? Willow loved Xander, Oz, Tara... and maybe Kennedy. Who knows on that one?
It would be great to see Oz again. I think his character was always interesting and funny. He always seemed like he knew something no one else did - like the meaning of life or something. He was multi-faceted and only the peopel closest to him got to see all the facets. He's the kind of person people like hanging around with. Or at least the kind I like hanging out with.

Whose to say that if Oz came back she would rather stay will the brat (Kennedy) over her love Oz just b/c Kennedy is a girl? I really think they had something real and wonderful. I LOVED oz and would like him back over anyone else....but that's just me, i guess

The Willow/Oz ship has sailed, and Willow is gay now. She's clearly gay. She's said it many times. She fell in "love" with RJ, and didn't accept him as a guy, she tried to make him a girl. Why? 'Cause she's gay. I dispise anyone discrediting Willow and Oz's relationship though, as CBG said earlier. Anyone who thinks that they weren't totally in love is dumb/in denial (or both).
I love Oz and can't wait for his return.

I wish we weren't told about Oz and Anya coming back until later. I'm getting a tad bored with the SHOULD OZ COME BACK? - WHO WILL XANDER CHOOSE? discussions on the web.

Just watched "Him" the other day and Willow was down with R.J. and his penis until someone (I think Anya) pointed out that he had one. She loved him - as much as a spell can make someone love another - despite her preference for female anatomy. I could go on explaining my Will isn't all the way gay theories from personal experience, but that would be TMI.

Go Mikey and his superior arguing skills lol.
I think Willow could still fall in love with a guy, but it's like 1 guy to every 50 girls. She said she's gay.
lee is about to make this topic much more interesting.... lol (damn there is no cheesy eyebrow smiley)

Willow tried to make him female though, which meant the only way they could be together was if he was a woman. So HA! It wasn't the only way, just the way she preferred it. You see it's a preferrence - not an all out deal breaker. She was way willing to "work around it". BUFFY Willow, you're a gay woman—and he isn't.
WILLOW This isn't about his physical presence. It's about his heart.
ANYA His physical presence has a penis!
WILLOW I can work around it!..... WILLOW There's a simple answer to this. Just think about who loves him the most. Clearly I do, since I'm willing to look past the whole orientation thing...... WILLOW Yeah, well I have skills. I can prove my love with magic.
ANYA Yeah, right. What're you gonna do—use magic to make him into a girl? (Willow's eyes widen) Damn.transcript here: www.buffyworld.com/buffy/transcripts/128_tran.html

I second that. It was Anya's idea to take away the penis, not Willow's.

"I can work around it" means something more like "It's not my favorite thing on the planet but I am willing to live with it." Hence meaning penises aren't something not to love someone for. By the way, even straight girls don't go all gaga for penises. It's not like straight guys and their desire to see girl parts. Straight girls are more like "Ew... put that thing away!" unless they are the ones we share our bed with and then we only say that half of the time. But you can have the point if you need it Mikey. ;D

Funny how off topic these threads get. This Oz topic has suddenly turned into a penis chat while there's a debate about Oz in a Most Wanted section lol

This has gotten funny fast. Yes, I am a chick and I have never had anyone say ew and tell me to put anything away. Just for the record. Tee hee. Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I'm conderned as to what guys you know if you think lee is mascunline Mikey lol If it wasn't the fact that lee was a mom that gave it away, I think the little female icon in her details next to every post would be a more than subtle hint too... I'm still waiting for lee's gay insight from personaly experience myself

Oh Henz I don't think I am gonna tell those stories. He He. It's not for mixed company. LOL. And Mikey - I sound masculine? Okay, that's cool. I've been known to be a little butch from time to time. I assure you I'm all girl where it counts. LOL. And no, I am not repulsed by penises - at least the one I like.

I really do miss Oz -le sigh- I'm pretty sure Willow is bisexual actually, theres stuff that kinda hints that. So if Oz came back in the picture, Willow COULD go out with him, I'm not going to speak further, so I don't spoil anything from the next issue lol. But I don't think she WOULD. They would probably become good friends. It'd be awkward for them to date again. I really want Willow back with Tara -le sob-

When all is said and done, Willow is gay now. As much evidence as there is to the contrary, the writers have clearly stated that she's gay and isn't really heading back. A lot of that had to do with Willow's positive influence on the gay community and as much sense as it would have made for the character to be bi-sexual (I mean, she'd been in love with men and clearly didn't have any issues with that) the writers decided to simply label her as gay so as not to alienate a certain portion of the audience. Also, it was a pretty big step forward at that time to have a significant, serious lesbian character. I mean, Willow and Tara were after all the first lesbian kiss on network television. So I'm definately all for it. Willow's character was always written really well and I don't really think her being gay has made a huge difference. Go Willow.
If Oz had come back I'm not quite sure where he would have fit in. I liked the idea of having him around in the sixth season of Angel, his flawed guy "searching for answers" would have fit in really well. He was always one of my favourite characters and I always wanted to see more there.

I think we'll see Oz return soon enough.
He cannot appear in an IDW title, as Dark Horse has the rights to him. This coming from Chris of IDW himself.
With that said, I highly doubt he'll jump in the sac with Willow. She's gay now, and plus...who still pines away for their first love? I know I don't! You move on, life changes. I'm sure Oz has too.
