When Riley returned to the Summer's house, I was just waiting for him to say "where's Joyce?" and it never happened! I was so disappointed because I wanted to see what Buffy would say and wanted to see Riley's reaction.
Did anyone else think about this?

Actually I have. The same can be said for Faith. Unless I am forgetting something, she didn't mention Joyce when she got back in Season 7.

All I would have wanted from the both could be just an "Buffy, I'm sorry about your mom...she was a good woman." Type of thing.

That never even dawned on me. Now that I think about it, that is a pretty HUGE ommission!

Even Amy said something. But not Faith and Riley? Weird.

Wow! Great catches on this. I would never had noticed anything. I guess to me, this shows how little they thought of the Joyce character after her death. It was great to see her again in Season 7 but she wasn't consistently remember like Tara was. One would think that Faith would have said something since there was no parent in the house. I thought with Spike getting his soul back that a simple scene of him visiting her grave would have a been a nice tribute to Joyce. But I think that would have been a long shot since Riley and Faith didn't even notice she was gone

I know, I loved Joyce and would have liked little moments like that. I wanted more of an impact.

Anything about Joyce's death is so touching/sad. It would have added a little element of something that was missing in the latter half of Season 7.
It would have killed me to see Spike/Faith visiting Joyce's grave. For the most part, Joyce did like Faith...until she went crazy that is.
WHAT ABOUT BUFFY??? Oh man, what a scene that could have been? She totally should have gone to visit Mom before destroying Sunnydale. That would have been a great moment for Buffy. Sort of a "Look how far I have come, I love you and miss you" thing!
Another thing I never got was why The First never appeared like Kendra to taunt Buffy. That would have been mega. Bianca Lawson would have been able to play the villain great I think!

I wish the writers would have thought of this!

I thought when Buffy was kicked out of the house that she would be at Joyce's grave asking for advice rather than showing up in some stranger's house asking for Tab. Buffy held together very well after being kicked out, she was very strong but I would have liked to see her show more emotions and looking for guidance from her mom.

I wouldn't have liked any dialogue, I don't think. It's never really done right, talking to a grave.
Except: Willow to Tara!! (short and simple, "I miss you") I appreciated that.

OMG can you just imagine??
Graveyard, night. Buffy standing over Joyce's headstone:
BUFFY: Mom...I know you cannot hear me. But I really need you right now. What am I supposed to do? (tears well up in her eyes) I feel so alone...just give me a sign.
SPIKE: Thought I'd find you here...
Spike appears behind her, and gives her the same speech from Touched. They fall asleep resting on her grave.

Yes, I agree, Riley and Faith definately should of said something, particularly Riley.
I think something like with visiting Joyce's grave after she was kicked out of the house would have been good, too. Even in her state, I think it was a bit out of character for Buffy to just walk into a stranger's house like that, so they leave...

I almost cried thinking about it!! I'm just gonna imagine something like that happening off screen.
I go visit my dad sometimes. I'm sure Buffy must have!

I prefer the Spike scene - Angel got played out inthe handing over the medallion scene. Pus he got the cookie dough talk whcih I loved and could relate to. Spike and Buffy - just make my heart race. His whole speech the bext day was eloquent. It wouldn't have worked with Angel
