So I was watching Double Meat Palace tonight and thought that it would be cool to figure out what was in the Medley in order to make my own for a Buffy themed party I want to have. I searched all over the net to make sure there wasn't a recipe out there so forgive me if this has been done already and I just don't know about it. I've pasted the "recipe" below. I'm even going to try and find some wrappers for the burgers to make it more authentic fast food like.  Double Meat Medley Ingredients - Buns – standard hamburger rolls - Veggie Burger Patties – try Boca - Deli sliced chicken – the more processed the better (make the whole thing veggie with tofurky slices or chickeny tofu slices) - Lettuce – nice leafy kind not iceburg - Tomato slices - Pickles – get them already hydrated and perhaps promptly remove before eating your burger - Special Sauce – probably thousand island or some kind of ranch (I vote for the ranch) - Cheese –I’m sure there would be a Double Meat Medley with Cheese option Cook your veggie burgers and heat up your chicken slices. Slice all the veggies and prepare the lettuce. Then layer the ingredients as listed below before enjoying the Double Meaty goodness. - Bottom bun - Pickles - Lettuce - Chicken Slice - Another Bottom Bun - Veggie burger pattie - Cheese if desired - Lettuce - Tomato - Sauce - Top bun |

That's pretty interesting. I'm almost tempted to make one to see if it tastes good lol.

When my boyfriend and I were on holiday in Paris last year, we went to a burger bar that actually sold doublemeat medlies!  I totally took a picture. I must have looked like such a freakshow. MB x |

That's cool. I would've taken a picture too. LOL
I totally want to make a bunch of these and throw a party. I have a whole plan complete with O+ Punch and my own version of a Buffy drinking game.
EDIT: I pretty much have an entire party planned if anyone is interested in seeing the details. I've put together a list of what you need plus the recipes and some images to make Black Frost Beer labels. Now, just need to think about who to invite. There are a select few friends of mine who can appreciate the wonder that is Buffy.

When my buddies and I go to Wendy's, we order the junior cheeseburger and the chicken sandwich. Then we take the top bun off one and the bottom bun off the other and stack them. Sounds gross, maybe, but it's pretty tasty.

MB x That's amazing!!! I would have been so excited when reading it off the menu. Never sounded appetizing, but I would have had to order it if it was available at a restaurant. With the Super Bowl quickly approaching, it's a fun idea for Buffy fans present at parties. |
