Not sure if this would go here but what is your favorite weird pairings? I'm not talking about something we've seen on the shows. I mean if you ever thought something like: "I'd think Xander and Harmony would make a cute couple." Anyone?

I always thought that Spike & Tara would be cute together, and Faith & Wesley.

I do see some Tara/Spike online. I read one that had Tara having to step up to help him and coming out of her shell more. I liked the idea of Faith/Wesley since their last meeting. Not enough fanfic. My favorite odd pairing though is one that we never actually see the couple onscreen together. Spike/Dracula. I loved it ever since IDW came out with the Spike vs. Dracula mini series.

I am reminded of a line Joss once said: "We've finally found the perfect woman for Angel. And it's Spike. I'm kidding. Kind of."
I also once read an interview of Joss and Brian Vaughn together, and they discussed theoretical Runaways/ Buffyverse crossovers, and a couple of them have stuck with me, namely Spike and Molly teaming up for some reason and the Willow/ Karolina x-rated quote unqoute team up. Seriously, though, Runaways and Buffy would be fun together.

Willow and Spike.  I think willow now understands him better (since going bad then coming back from it and doing good.) I mean really, they did the most in Chosen. I always thought they would be cute.....I also thought Buffy and Oz would be interesting and I have seen fanfic of that-oz and buffy, while Willow and Riley were secretly together. Interesting concepts...but I like Willow and Spike more. |

Xander and Spike. I mean, come on. There's a lot of sexual tension there. They couldn't have fooled around even once? lol Oh well, at least we were hinted to the fact that Spike and Angel did it at least once. In Beneathe You from season 7 there is a hint that Spike and Xander had some sort of something once. I have some friends who keep trying to get me to believe that. When worm boy's girlfriend says "Is there anyone here who hasn't slept together?" Spike and Xander look at each other all weird, but they never say they didn't. |

I always thought Fred and Spike would be cute together or Willow and Spike. Maybe even Willow and Fred. Willow and Fred were cute together in the episode they were in. Regarding Spike and Angel, in one of the DVD commentaries Joss comments on their "unique" relationship. He said something along the lines of "They hung out together for a hundred years and they were all kinds of deviant, and you really think that they never had sex even once?" So yeah, they probably did. And that's silly. |

I wouldn't say the Angel/Spike pairing is silly. I think its quite humorous considering how much they hate each other now. But maybe thats why?  Maybe Giles and Fred. I know there is an age difference but that isn't really a big deal these days. I think those two would have had some interesting conversations. Both are highly intelligent. Plus they would make cute babies. And to be completely random.....Buffy and Gunn. I don't remember them ever meeting. |

It's silly because they're so funny together and they hate each other so much. I can just imagine them as an old married couple, and it definetely makes me laugh. |

How about Connor and Dawn? Both are unique and perhaps well suited. That would make Buffy and Angel in-laws. Conner would be Buffy's brother-in-law and Angel would be Dawn's father-in-law. I wonder what relation that would make Dru and Spike to Dawn.
Does anyone know if Buffy ever found out about Angel having a son?

I would assume that Buffy knew, obviously they didn't show it on the show but possibly in a book. I just can't think of Willow not telling Buffy after she found out.

You must be right - I just remembered that Willow made that comment in Season 4 Orpheus: "Yes. Hi. You must be Angel's handsome, yet androgynous, son." But, I am surprised that we never heard Buffy say anything - at least until the tampering with reality spell that gave Connor his second chance at a happy life. |

i think that's sup. to be addressed in the comics. I remember reading that somewhere. Oh and spike & Illyria= Too Cute!! I always thought spike and fred had a cutesy thing going, but i really wanted fred to be with wesley. So spike and Illyria = perfect! Has anyone come to the conclusion that they are together from the comics? I couldn't tell for sure, though it seemed like it, but of course more will be revealed tomorrow i am sure. i really need to reread them! |

Theres actaully a tonne of Xander/ Spike fanfiction on the net, it seems to be quite popular for some reason...  Dunno if it counts as an odd pairing, but I loved the Anya/ Andrew thing they had going in the seventh season, it was nice and light hearted, and a welcome contrast to the emotastic Spuffy relationship. |

Not sure they'd work together, but I always liked the scenes between SMG and Seth Green, not enough of them IMO ie. the Bench scene in 4.02 Living Conditions Oz- "Plus you killed the bench, it was looking shifty" |

Hm. Buffy and Tara. Completely underrated friendship there. I always thought it was so sweet how Tara reacted to finding out about her with Spike. Though not necessarily approving, she was completely non-judgmental and understanding. (Unlike another person I won't mention whose name starts with X and ends with ander). During that whole scene I sorta hoped there would be something between them. And I liked their chemistry. And for some reason I always wanted Buffy to be a lesbian. (Don't tell my friends I said that).
