I agree I really like SMG's voice in OMWF. One of my fave songs is 'Walk Through The Fire' and the way she sings the line "...to save the day, or maybe melt away. I guess its all the same..." is awesome

All of them did a great job, considering only Tony and James had sung before. They
all should have an Emmy for this ep. alone. I was most impressed by Emma Caulfield
and SMG. What really amazed me though was how great they all sounded TOGETHER,
better than they did separately. Ironic, considering they didn't exactly get along in real
life.

Agreed about SMG being surprisingly good. One of my fav songs from this ep is Walk Though the Fire. I thought it was funny how she said she was never going to sing again, then she did the MTV Movie Awards with Jack Black where they sung 'Movies Kick Ass'. Guess she warmed up to it.

She also sang in the Southland Tales movie: teen horniness is not a crime.
Regarding Alyson, I wanted to pat her head...but she just knew she didn't have a good tonal quality to pull it off. If somebody sings off key, they don't want to showcase that to the world in a serious setting (like OMWF) but she could use her lack of singing talent for comedic purpose in "Date Movie" because of the satiric element. If you hear her sing during that movie, you understand why she didn't want to "falsify" her voice for Buffy, though I recall reading commentary somewhere that if she knew they'd make her sound that good (voice modulation), then she would've sang more.

Everyone did a great job singing except for Alyson (aw). My favorite song is the Sweet-Dawn duet. I'm probably alone on that but towards the end of that song i get chills, of the good variety. But all the songs are fantastic in their own way.

If I were to pick a favorite song (which I won't) it MIGHT be the Dawn/Demon-guy duet. That's probably the one I've listened to the most.
