Post random thoughts, observations, or questions about the Buffy/Angel episode you're currently watching.
I'm watching the Harsh Light Of Day right now, and I'm really wondering what the hell is up with Devon's shirt. It's so tiny. Like he's trying to attract sailors on shore leave into his skeezy hotel room.
*edit*
The dress Anya wears in Xander's basement is hideous. Thank god she takes it off.
*edit2*
Anya's proposition to Xander reminds me of Seven Of Nine coming onto Kim in an episode of Voyager, the title of which I'm too lazy to look up.
*edit3*
I like the last shot of the episode with Buffy, Anya, and Harm walking around the campus looking heartbroken and alone. It makes a nice statement about what their characters are going through at the time - They all feel alone in their pain, when there are people near them, literally or otherwise that are going through the same thing. The background looks a little green-screened, though.
Beer Bad
I really like the dream sequence in the teaser, and the beginning banter portion of the episode isn't terrible. I'd almost say something positive about this episode if I didn't know about the badness to come. Side note; I don't think Tracy Forbes is so terrible. She just got stuck with series' one super obvious PSA. I mean, she wrote Something Blue and that's pretty redeeming as far as I'm concerned.
Nothing can defeat the penis!
*edit*
Now I'm onto the public service announcement portions of the episode. here's the badness I remember. How could the Office of National Drug Control Policy possibly think this is too abstract? I'm pretty much being smacked over the head with a giant hammer of anti-metaphor right now.
