Joyce's "resurrection"

So did anyone else find it kind of lame when Dawn did the Joyce Resurrection spell and after we saw that Joyce came out of her grave,walked down the street and knocked on the door, that once Dawn ripped the photo she mystically disappeared after actaully physically walking there.
Could have been a better way to do that in my humble opinion.
Anyone else agree/disagree?

I have a very similar problem with SOmething Blue... I found it so lame how once Willow ended the spell, all the demons vanished... When Willow said Xander is a demon magnet, i assumed demons which already existed simply decided to come seek him out, as opposed to demons appearing out of nowhere for the mere purpose of coming after Xander. this was really lame and could have been done better, instead of disappearing they should have just been confused as to what they were doing there... But when it comes to Forever, I thought the same idea was done to much greater effect. Before the knock on the door, Buffy was scolding Dawn about messing with magics and saying that they can't mess with those who are already dead, but once she hears the knock on her door, in a disturbing scene, she turns towards it and says "Mommy?", signifying that once her mother's resurrection lies concrete before her, even she forgets about morality in the face of her own desperate desire to have her mother back. it takes Dawn for once to save Buffy from falling into that hole by destroying the spell, and once the girls open the door and see nothing, the realization that their mother is truly gone comes crashing down and they fall apart. I thought it was a very moving scene. The reason why i like it here is becuase it's a metaphor here, as opposed to in SOmething Blue where it's just lazy writing.

Yeah i agree, But another thing about Joyce coming back, "kinda" wouldnt she have to dig herself out of her own grave ? and everything, or is this explained by dawn ripping up the picture meaning the spell and all its effects go back to normal ?
Did i just answer my own question ? !

I don't think Joyce wopuld be strong enough to dig herself out of the grave.

it was implied that she was a zombie, and i think a zombie is capable of digging itself out of a grave since that's generally what zombies do.

It wasnt, it was mentioned about her being a zombie but it said they didnt know what Joyce came back as, that was one of the sad things about it, she could have come back perfectly normal.

It was an important part of the episode to have her disappear. Otherwise when Buffy opens the door, it would have kind of sucked to find her dead mother's rotting corpse slumped on the doorstep. It would have killed the re-bonding of Buffy and Dawn.

I love 'Forever'. The Joyce resurrection attept was a nice plot. She came back as a zombie, which is pretty obvious. And when the spell ended, Joyce's body probably teleported back to her grave. Same with the demons in 'Something Blue'. The spell Willow cast wasn't on them, but it did affect them, as they were drawn in to Xander. Then when the spell ended, they were teleported back to where they were before they were drawn to the spell. Make sense?

the way i see it is the spell got completely reversed as if it had never happened
