so i was wondering who's watched the unaired pilot of episode 1 of Buffy i watched it last night and i gotta say I'm glad it was unaired the girl who was playing willow was so different....also when she staked the vamp...corny lol and the library!! was so different.. p.s if you haven't seen it heres the site its on www.buffyworld.com/buffy/season1.php |

Hey, yeah i watched it on youtube,
So good they decided to re-cast willow, she just didnt suit her !
and the vampire slaying, when it just took ages to turn to dust wasnt good (n)
But they re-done it and look at Buffy now XD

Yeah, that pilot is bad. But to be fair most are. It's pretty impressive how little the network wanted to change really. Says a lot.

the pilot cracked me up!
willow is SO un-willow
i really couldn't see that actress being bad willow or anything
has she ever gone onto anything else?
I've never been a huge fan of "welcome to the hellmouth" or "the harvest" so it's not surprising i didn't really like the pilot
it's amazing how similiar the pilot and the real episodes are though
the worst thing was the vamps turning into... goo?

couldnt agree with you more, willow isn't willow.
there wasnt also nothing smashing about the the logo.

There's an unaired Angel pilot  I've never heard that... I've seen the Buffy unaired pilot. lol. It is pretty crap-worthy. I am so glad that they changed Willow, I can't imagine that actress acting in season 6 as Willow at all. The library changed too. |

I definitely agree...The unaired pilot was so horrible! The vamp dusting was pretty bad, but the library was cool, but didn't fit as well as the real library does. But at least Jonathon was in the pilot! But overall, it was pretty horrible, not gonna lie.
As for the Angel pilot, I love the part "See these gypsies, they pulled a funny on me." Well spoken Angel...I think. haha. But the little teaser promo is great!

Hey, I love the unaired Buffy pilot. Especially for a glimpse it provides into early concepts for the show. It definitely sets up Xander as the leading man, and is awesome for the budget they had (it must have been tiny.) as well as distilling Buffy into a 1/2 hour episode. I liked a few of the scenes that never made it into anything else, ("You were on the footbal team?" "No I did the...") and the describing the cliques was fun too.
It is a nice step in the evolution of Buffy and deserves respect as such. I still wonder how different the show would have been without AH though. Wierd.
