I know a lot of people didn't like the Trio, and even more hated Warren, but I've been watching Season 7 and when I came across this episode my heart really went out to Jonathan right before Andrew killed him.
Jonathan: I really miss it. Time goes by and everything drops away. All the cruelty, all the pain, all the humiliation, it all washes away. I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day. I miss the people who never knew I existed. I miss 'em all. I wanna talk to them, you know? I wanna find out how they're doing. I-I wanna know what's going on in their lives. Andrew: You know what? They don't wanna talk to you. All those people you just mentioned, not one of them is sitting around going, "I wonder what Jonathan's up to right now." Not one of them cares about you. Jonathan: Well, I still care about them. That's why I'm here.
Did anyone else feel the same way?

I really missed high school. I wasnt that popular or anything. I mean I had a lot of friends and I was on the school Rugby team and stuff but then I left school and went to college whilst my firends styed on for an extra year and they were doing high school things like projects, dances and just misisng on out day to day life at school and I felt like I was missing out and begin left behind because I left school. Looking back I now wish that I'd stayed on and down the full six years (I left after 5 years).
Anyway I did miss certain people and even certain teachers but I definatley didn't miss the complete idiots and there were alot! lol but you stick around with your friends and everythings fine. It didn't exactly help that I had to make all new frineds at high school because all my friends from primary went to different schools.

Did anyone else feel the same way? I did. Poor Jonathan. And I totally agree with what he said to Andrew right before he died, it really resonated with me. It seems like Jonathan was just starting to make peace with himself and get his life in order and then he gets killed. I liked the Trio except for Warren. Didn't really care for Andrew in S6, but for some reason he really grew on me in S7. (Minus killing Jonathan of course).

I may sound like a baby saying this but i always felt sorry for Johnathan and when Andrew killed him after his speech i almost cried Jonathan was the one who always felt bad and deep down wanted to help

I too really love that scene. It's ironic that at the moment where Jonathan finally realizes the big picture, and starts to be at peace with himself that he's killed. Such a sad thing. I was really pissed at Andrew when he killed Jonathan. Jonathan was the only Trio member that I actually liked. I sort of liked Andrew pre-Jonathan killing, but after he killed Jonathan I lost my respect for him as a character.
I totally agree with what Jonathan says about high school. I do miss it myself. I graduated almost 3 years ago. There are some things I won't miss though (stupid fights with people & cramming for tests).

I'm almost outta college. Talk about surreal... lol
But yeah, this all reminds me of the Graduation episodes, like when Willow and Harmony are all buddy buddy on the last day of school. What's the deal with that? I mean, we all know going in that High School is meaningless and that all the bs is artificial. Yet it all feels so damn important at the time. hah. By the time you hit the home stretch, pretty much everyone finally relaxes and figures out that even they did some things they never really understood.
I graduated 4 years ago, and I remember very distinctly I was in my last day in Econ (we did a block schedule thing, so it wasn't the last day of classes). We'd already taken the final, so we had nothing to do but hang around. The class had been hardcore divided (cuz it was a hardcore clique-y school), but on that last day like 20 of us got into this great conversation. It was eyeopening for everyone. All of us had to kinda step back and go, "Wow! So you AREN'T a moron/jerk/slut/etc., etc." And we all wish we had figured it out sooner.
Go fig. School is interesting that way, and Joss and co. did a great job of capturing a lot of that. Jonathan's whole personal story reflects a lot of truths about high school.

In perfect Joss Whedon fashion, when Jonathan reaches a moment of understanding and want he gets killed.
It was a sad moment and especially sad due to his speech. But what made it sad for me was how his closest friend was the one that ended his life.
I always loved the Trio. They were hilarious villains. If you would call them villains. I liked Andrew and Jonathan more than Warren, but I didn't dislike Warren either. He was a very interesting character who had started with simply making robots and ended with killing two people.
