What if...

What if Joss decided to make a buffy movie for all us fans. How would you guys do it?

For me, Id do it like how they did Sex And The City. Release the movie years after the show ended(so for buffy, i would have it made in the next two years), same cast, no new characters and very much under wraps. Id like this movie to basically end off the whole Buffy tv show.(though i love the comics as well ,but i prefer to have buffy on screen).

How would you guys do it? Who would come back?(dead or alive) Who would be the Villians? What would be the basic plot of the story?

Um, I would have it set between Buffy Season 7 and 8. And have it be kinda like "what-happened-in-between" movie.

That seems like its making the movie serve the comic. I don't want a Buffy movie just as a "here let's catch you up to speed". I'd rather it be some huge, epic-y story.

Yep, thats exactly how I would do it. If they want to make some sort of tie in story, leave it for the comics. A movie has to be something big, something that ends it all(like how sex and the city is)

If a Buffy movie was to happen i would want it to be big and exiting sort of like sex and the city but i wouldn't want it to be the end i would much prefer a trilogy

I always imagined this huge production that features the apocalypse to end all apocalypses. In my mind movie everyone is called in for this huge battle: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Dawn, Various Slayers, Andrew, Spike, Angel, Gunn (depending on when it takes place, he may be a villain), Illyria, Harmony (she would play both sides), Wood, Oz, I mean everyone. The world is truly ending and it is overrun with demons, monsters, vamps, etc (kind of like ATF). There could even be a cool "afterlife" scene where Tara, Joyce, Cordy, whoever, give some support from the other side.

If there were a movie to be made, I'd like to see Joss tackle the issue of "the end of magic" that leads up to Fray's universe. That is, if he doesn't completely explain everything in "Time of Your Life" or sometime in the future of the comic, which, knowing him, he wouldn't.

And I'd love to see "Fray" adapted into movie form.

I love the idea of joyce,cordillia,tara like coming together at the end and using some magic thing to help buffy in the "final battle"

I'd love for it to be the battle to end all battles. If there could be some of the faves come back for appearances(i.e. Joyce, Tara, Cordy, etc.), that would be amazing. I'd love to see it stretched out to a trilogy, I would be there in line waiting for all of them. I'd like to see villains revisited that haven't been seen in a while, such as the Master(I loved seeing the First as him in S7). Perhaps some tie-in with the comics, but possibly a different story all together. I'd love to see the gang together again, like have Angel, Oz, Cordy, and Faith all come back into the Buffyverse.

I'd want a trilogy so the story can be spread out and told in a big epic fashion. And I'd want these 3 movies to end the Buffyverse for good. Real closure. I'd want it to be big and exciting as well like Sex And The City is.

I don't think a trilogy would work or be as successful as one final movie would be.

Perhaps a trilogy would have worked for made-for-TV movies or if they were made just after the shows had finished, but I think it's been a little too long.

I'd like to see one big ultimate crossover, final battle, fight to end all fights, drama, relationships, shocks, surprise deaths and an ending that wraps up both stories incredibly but leaves a little open to the imagination.

I love the idea of seeing Joyce, Tara and Cordy again. Maybe Xander can see Anya somehow!

Plus who would Buffy choose in the end? Angel or Spike? What's happened with Willow and her magic? Did Faith go back to prison? How has Dawn turned out? etc etc, (I dont know any of this as I dont read the comic)

Me too. I don't want the movie to be messing with the comics plot, since Joss said that he would be willing to throw away season 8 if he made a movie. That kinda scares me, since I looove the comic.

A movie that has nothing to do with Twilights and Dawn's giantness. We could see how Buffy is figuring out that an army of a slayers would be a great idea, then there's an enemy, Buffy has doubts over her own ability to lead, no new slayers wants to follow her, then she faces the enemy and his army. She's scared, alone, Willow is hurt, Giles might be evil, Dawn is kidnapped. Then all of a sudden the cavalry, the slayers who changed their minds, attack and Buffy win. And all the scoobies are fine.

In the final scene, we see how the scoobies are mobilizing the slayers, finally convinced and convincing.

The problem with that is there is no guarantee we'd get three movies. A movie studio would have to sign off on all three movies and should one do poorly in the box office the other/s wouldn't be made and we'd be left hanging.

I'd love there to be a movie but I think for now it should be centered around one. Have Joss focus and put all his creativeness and genius into one movie and make it the best it can be.
