Evil is evil right, no matter what form it is in?
I'm all for the death penalty, and so is obviously Buffy and our other heroes, since they're killing demons, sometimes without good enough reasons(okay, mostly it's just beating up demons without cause).
I bet it hasn't passed anyone that the scoobies are rascists. They're all; "You're a demon? You die?. Oh, you're human? You can go, unless we have enough evidence to send you to trial".
I bet it hasn't passed anyone that the scoobies are rascists. They're all; "You're a demon? You die?. Oh, you're human? You can go, unless we have enough evidence to send you to trial".
Here are some examples, on the top of my head;
Some assembly required, Buffy, season 2.
Eric & Chris. Chris needs to be in a mental hospital, I can give him a second chance, But Eric, that camera-freak needs to be put down.
Lie to me, Buffy, season 2.
Buffy should have kicked Ford's ass when she found out that he locked them in there, but she looked as if she just thought that therapy would set him straight.
Help, Buffy, season 7
I seriosuly doubt that Buffy killed those guys that were trying to sacrifice Cassie.
Doppelgängland, Buffy, season 3.
No matter how much I came to feel for the character, Anya should have been killed back then. Willow was almost killed by that bitch and Anya must have killed more people than Angelus & Spike put togheter, but no, she's a human, a girl, so naturally, she gets a second chance, after a millenia of slaughter.
Shells, Angel, season 5
Knox. Need I say more? Wesley took care of him, but later on in the season, Wesley showed regret over this, which I think is unnessacary. Human and admirable, but unnessacary.
A new man, Buffy, season 4.
Giles haves a drink with they guy who almost got Buffy killed on Halloween, who almost let those babies be eaten in Band Candy. I bet Giles knows about a lot of other sins of Ethan's as well.
The gift, Buffy, season 5.
Buffy wanted to let Ben live, but thank good Giles stepped up.
Lies my parents told me, Buffy, season 7.
I think Robin and Giles should have atleast been sent away, if not killed. Buffy had to trust her people right? Although Giles made a good point, Spike was a danger, but with Giles contacts he could have put Spike in a temporary coma and sent him of to one of his contacts for safekeeping, until the war was over. He would have done it with a potentially dangerous human.
I myself can't think like that. Evil is evil, if demons deserve to die, then humans do too. The racisim didn't pass Joss either, as anyone who watched That old gang of mine (season 3, Angel) could see which adresses the fact that goods guys are sometimes acting like bad guys and that demons can be the cutest innocent things (I love the slurpy-demon).
I understand why they don't want to kill people, hell, my uncle was a rapist and I didn't kill him, although I wanted to laugh ot loud when he died of skeletoncancer(I'm counting on that his fosterchild didn't lie).
I was mostly afraid to get caught tough, it wasn't just my conscience. They scoobies shouldn't be, they've been getting away for murder for years. They could clean the street of molesters and murderers, but nay, they choose to be racists. I get the need to side with your own specie, but it doesn't make it right.
You can say; "Let a jury decide" and perhaps they're will be a conviction. Then, after a while, the humans might be let out on the streets again. But demons, they don't get a second chance. A demons who looks like it might want to kill or hurt people is dead, a human gets a speech.
The scoobies are just humans I know, and mercy is a great gift, but not everyone deserves it.
You're thought on this? Don't hesitate to argue anything in my list, I expect this to be a pretty open thread.
