How did Buffy get out of being arrested in Becoming Part 2?
Wasn't she still a fugitive when she came back at the end of "Anne"?

No Joyce said herself that Buffy was cleared of all the charges. I can't remember the name of the episode but it was on the first disk of season 3 when Buffy and Joyce are at Sunnydale High School talking to Principal Snyder about Buffy being let back into school and Snyder says no, and that she will not let be back in. Joyce states that he now has no grounds to keep her out of school seen as all the charges were dropped and if he was going to let Buffy back into school then she's go all the way to the Mayor if she had to....Luckily she never does havr to go see the Mator as at the end of the epiode Giles turns up to Snyders office and threatens him to let Buffy back into school.  |

Charges where dropped. I think Joyce says it in "Beauty and the Beasts", I think.

It was probably Giles and the Scoobies, they were the ones who were attacked. They probably told them it wasn't Buffy.

A fine perhaps. But considering how many muder-investigations Sunnydale must have, I bet the police could have been too busy to prosecute Buffy. |

Also... she was a minor back then. People are usually a little more forgiving, and seriously, for grown men to admit that they got their asses served by a scared 17-year old... maybe they downplayed her "resistance" a little.
