I just watched "The Zeppo" again tonight, and even tho it's not one of my top 10 funniest episodes, I remembered that it does have one of my all-time favorite funny moments: Willow narcing on Buffy for eating all the jelly donuts... ;D

YES!! I love "The Zeppo"..I also love "Him"..Anya's gesture of love is robbing a bank..

Tabula Rasa is one of those funny episodes that ends with a really sad/dramatic/sobering finale, which in essence kinda ruins it for me..but one of my alltime favorite quotes, to copy El Diablo Robotica, is "Randy Giles? Why not just call me Horny Giles, or Desperate-for-a-shag Giles!?"

Yeah I'm gonna have to go with "Buffy VS. Dracula" being the funniest i.m.o. I mean, come on..it's Dracula..they consistently make fun of him!! haha ;D

I prefer this exchange from that episode, which is pretty much my favourite bit of dialogue from the entire series:

Buffy: Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.
Angel: Dike.... [Buffy gives him a look.] It’s another word for dam.
Buffy: Oh. Okay. That story makes a lot more sense now.

As to the topic, these are my top 5 funniest episodes:

1. Band Candy

4. Fear Itself
5. Something Blue

Honorable mention: Intervention, A New Man

Fear Itself was funny. But the majority of that episode would be considered more horror.

"The Replacement" is hillarious also.

Giles: Toth.
Riley: What?
Buffy: He called you a toth. It's a British expression, it means, like, moron.
Giles: No. Toth is the name of the demon.

Giles: He had a very specific olfactory presence.
Xander: Well, I guess we're off to the old factory. I hate that place. (pause) I'm joking. I know what it means. He smelled. Right?

Anya: So... um, you Xanders really do have all the same memories, all the same... physical attributes?
Suave Xander: We're completely identical.
Lame Xander: Yeah, we checked out some stuff in the car on the way over... Fingerprints!
Anya: Well, maybe we shouldn't do this reintegration thing right away. See, I can take the boys home and we can all have sex together, and, you know, just slap 'em back together in the morning.

Buffy (about the two Xanders acting quite alike): They're kinda the same now.
Giles: Yes, he's clearly a bad influence on himself.
Anya: I liked it the other way. Put 'em back!

I didn't agree with most of the rankings mine go (not in order): Reptile Boy, The Zeppo, Something Blue, The replacement, Tabula Rasa, Him, And Storyteller. So I guess I have 7 funniest buffy episodes...hmmm

Not really a fan of "Reptile Boy", but that's a pretty good list.

It's basically one big joke on the show. It's subtly funny...but funny.

I'm not sure if this is the case with you, Kara, but I've heard some people complain that they don't like it because they wanted to see more about the apocalypse, and the opening of the Hellmouth that the others were trying to stop. They don't understand why something that major gets so little screentime. But that's the whole point of the episode. The apocalypse/Hellmouth thing is deliberately made the 'B' story, because the metaphor they're going for is that in high school, being cool (or being perceived as cool, which is basically the same thing) is more important than anything, even the end of the world. It's extremely well-done.

It's just not one of my 10 funniest episodes...
