I'd read a different interview with her about the rumors of a movie in the making, and to clear up her "fears" of how it would be, she elaborated saying that she thought Season 7 ended in a good place, and to open up the story again and only have 2 hours to tell it might be tricky. She was sounding as if she didn't want to open Pandora's box..yanno? Because if they did a movie and it sucked because of the restraints of film, that would be bad.

I think it is a good idea though and I agree with Emmie in thinking that a movie would be a good place to explore what happened between the S7 and S8..how did they get to Scotland? Why did they choose Scotland? Where was Willow? What did Xander and Dracula do? Who was this thricewise Dawn was dating? Stuff like that.

I'm lovign the comics, and to be honest, I think the acting parts should stay dead.

I have mixed feelings about a movie. I very selfishely want a movie to happen, but I am not sure I want it for the right reasons.
I want to see the stars that I love back in the roles that made me love them.
I am not sure that it would be the best thing for the verse but I want it any ways. Is that bad?

I wonder if it were to be made, would it have a theatrical release or maybe be a tv movie?

My vote would go to a big budget mini series!
Just think, a 3 part, 6 hour, mini series would be incredible!!!

As others have said, I think it would be a cool thing to have a movie that links season 7 and 8 together. You can find out what happens in between. The end can be the gang finding the Scotland castle and moving in.

Honestly, the comics seem okay and all but I'd gladly scrap them for a film. Nothing matches actors in these roles. Not ink and paint. I like comics.I really do, but I'd gladly ignore them for the sake of the movie.
I know alot of people have really devoted their attention to the comics but to me it's not the same.
It's like, well we can't have a show or a movie, so lets do something. Bam!...a comic.

I haven't read them in detail. I plan to wait till they are all collected in trade paper back form.

I'm skeptical though. I've heard of Giant Dawn. WTF?

I'm sure it makes more sense than that tho.

Anyway, yeah...a movie not in the form of linking up with the comic would be great. If I see a movie, I want the movie to be the finality of the whole Buffy the Vampire slayer story. I want it to be the be all and end all.
That's fine if more comics/books are written about the characters who end up going their own way.
I think a movie with a new non comic connected story would be great.
