Season one - It is not my favourite season but it does have a couple of gems. I think in the Episode Angel we really began to see that the show had some serious potential. The show was very light and the escapades of the Master were a little bit too camp to be fully taken serious.
Season Two - It really began to hit its stride. The Buffy in pain really gained momentum and the entire Angel/Angelus story was riveting. Gems such as Passion and Ted really cemented the fact that season two would be one of the best seasons of Buffy.
Season Three - The show reached its critical and commercial peak and the introduction of faith was superb. The show had a much grander feel in season three i think every episode of season 3 spanned from the enjoyable to the sublime!
Season 4 - Although not the best season it also had its moments. It was essentially lacking something and i tend to believe that Buffy was too Happy and everyone loves a heart wrenching storyline. But you can't completely disregard the seaon that gave us Hush and Restless.
Season 5- We were introduced to an even grander epic show and the introduction of Dawn was handled as best it could be. Glory as the seasons big bad was terrific. Fool for Love and The Body being particular highlights. But the best season finale up its point being the Gift
Season 6 - Like the introduction of Dawn the resurrection of Buffy was handled as well as it could be. On paper this season should have been good. Everyone likes to see Buffy in Pain, but not the Pain we see in season 6. Unless she is broken because her man has turned evil it is all good. However no one wants to see Buffy in Pain because she is just depressed and cant pay the bills. Season 6 feels like it doesnt really know where it is going only to have a quick turn around to the Evil willow mini arc coming along and save the day.
Season 7 - We return back to a lightness we missed in the previous season and we did for a couple of episodes till the emergence of the seasons Big bad. An enjoyable season which went out with the biggest bang!
