What do you think of Buffy mythology. For me it kinda look endless. I mean they have everything in the mix and I just don't see a way for them to stop expanding it. I mean I LOVE the Slayer concept ( until the Slayer army) the connection of the girls... also the vampires. I like the idea of Old Ones and PTB as the big players. I LOVE spell casters in Buffyverse ( hello witcher). Also loved the idea of peoples feeling becoming real ( that invisible girl). But I could definitely live without all the other demons, mutants, seers, ghosts, mediums, werewolves, giants, dragons, faeries, slugs... Don't get me wrong I love the diversity of Buffyverse I just wonder is it getting out of hand? What do you think?

I love it. I want more.
I think that people who watch the first season of Buffy and then follows it up with season 5 of Angel will be in chock, but for us who have watched the universe evolve season by season, for us, me, it's realistic enough.

Not enough, dammit. Where's my Lovecraft monsters? Why hasn't Buffy fought C'thulhu yet?

When they had fairies and slugs in the mix it did to me feel like a Charmed episode which isn't a good thing. I know the mythology-verse is beyond big and forever expanding but slugs... faires....
I love the fact they have mutants, were-wolfs [which where would any self respecting SPN show be with out them???] and demons. I love seeing new sorts of demons they make up and how they play them out.
I like the fact Buffy-verse has demons and monsters that are not taken from other story's, tv shows, books etc. If they just took everything from what has already been made up then the show would be dull and nothing new but it doesn't which is great!!

Agreed for the most part, Lukee. I think the mythology is best when they create demons. Look at Illyria - she's awesome and completely fictitious.

I wouldn't be able to see Greek Myths in Buffy i don't know why... I felt the same when it was in Charmed. I mean unless the Scoobies were in Greek maybe but if not i can't see it. sadly.

I like that universe is it's own. Nothing feel like BUffy and ANgel Nothing. It's 40 minutes that suck you in and bring you to another place. I love that about buffy. I am only on season3 of angel and season2 of buffy but I love what I have seen so far.

I think they created an almost perfect universe. Joss didn't give it boundries in almost any way, which allows the writers to explore pretty much any idea they can come up with. Because of this, we sadly got things like a giant talking hamburger, but at the opposite end of the spectrum we got characters like Illyria, and Angelus. We're bound not to like absolutely everything they throw at us, but I think considering the odds, we got a helluva lot of decent beasties in comparrison to embarassing ones.
