A few Buffy Season 3 Questions

Hi,

I hope it's not a problem that I start a new Thread for this:

I'm currently watching Buffy Season 3 for the second Time, but there are still a few things I don't get, and that really bothers me so I hope someone can help. The questions may seem a little strange but sometimes I have problems with understandings things...

In "Faith, Hope and Trick" Giles tells Buffy about Kakistos which she appearently never heard of. But then she tells Giles that Kakistos has come to Sunnydale two days ago and that he arrived at the same Day Faith arrived.
But if she doesn't even know about Kakistos how can she know that?

Band Candy: Buffy wonders why there are no demons and vampires that night but the question never gets answered. Does that have something to do with the ritual the mayor wants to perform or is it just coincidence? And another thing I keep asking myself: Did that candy factory make those "poisened" candybars especially for the purpose to give them to the school so the students could sell them? And if that's the case, how could Mr. Trick know that the school collects money for the band?

Well both those question are ones that could be left up to interpretation, but I'll take a stab at answering them for you.

1) Buffy wasn't making a statement about Kakistos, she was asking a rhetorical question. Kind of thinking out loud. She knew Faith showed up two days earlier, the same night that some strange disappearances had been reported (Giles mentioned it the day before), so it was easy for Buffy to conclude that Kakistos had probably showed up around the same time as Faith. I chalk it up to Buffy being very clever and obviously very suspicious of her new slayer friend.

2) The chocolate bars were made and distributed by Ethan. Give the students the candy to sell is a pretty good way to insure parents/adults receive tainted chocolate. Also, Ethan & Mr. Trick probably distributed the chocolate bars all over town, not just through the students.

Yeah I already guessed there was no final answers to these questions, I just have problems with taking those storys as they are, I want an explanation for everything... maybe I should stop thinking so much about stuff...
