Okay, so I'm generally dead inside and emotions don't happen. It's rare that I cry at anything...and I'm not kidding.
In the past year, I'm noticing that I'm not as dead inside and emotions are starting to happen to me.
Anyways...the point is this...
I've been rewatching season 7 from 'Conversations with Dead People' on and it seems I've cried every episode. Whether it be Xander's speeches (which his 'extraordinary' speech always tickled my heartstrings from 'Potential'), Andrew's tears in 'Storyteller,' Willow's breakdown in "the Killer in Me.' There are just so many tearjerker moments in the last half of season 7! Why didn't anybody tell me?!?!?!

Xander's season 7 speeches were lame, in my opinion. They seemed really forced. His one to Dawn was just so fake that I'm surprised Dawn didn't go "Oh go f*** off!". Or, you know, "GET OUT GET OUT GET OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUT!!!" I don't think they were lame. Xander's speech to Buffy in season 5 about Riley....that was lame.

I have to admit I can't stop myself from tearing up at Willow's breakdown in The Killer In Me.

Xander's speeches are not lame! Or fake! Yeah season 7 had lots of tear-jerking moments. Mikey, your GET OUT thing made me laugh. I can just imagine Dawn doing that during that scene now lol!

I liked Xander's "extraordinary" speech.I thought it summed his 7 year journey with Buffy well.
I didn't really hate the speeches.I just thought there was too many of them.

Speechgiving is a skill Buffy had to pick up to fulfill her new role as general of an army. She gives a lot of speeches to highten the morale of her troops against very bad odds. Yes, most of the speeches are pretty cheesy, but they are in themselves inconsequential, the only serve the purpose of keeping Buffy in her position of power and her potentials in check.

I love Xander's speech to Dawn. That along with Jenny's death (Giles and Buffy crying at the end) in "Passion" and "The Body" (Anya's monologue) are the only moments I've gotten teared up watching Buffy.

Oh, there's something that gets me emotional in every season of Buffy, even the weaker ones (Season 1, Season 4 and Season 7, in my opinion). The moments that pack the biggest emotional punch for me in Season 7 are the church scene in Beneath You, Anya's epiphany in Selfless, Willow's conversation about Tara in Conversations with Dead People, Andrew's first signs of maturity in Storyteller, and pretty much all of Chosen (especially the Slayer activation spell, Buffy's "I love you" to Spike, and the hopeful smile at the very end).

maybe i'm not as dead as i thought... lol

Season Seven is for me, the saddest season. Not in the way henz implies, in the actual *Wipes eyes* "I'm okay. I've just got something in my eye." way.
It's all about the fallout from Season Six, and in Anya's and Andrew's case the beginning of Season Seven. "Conversations" is just heartbreaking in everyway, from Willow to Dawn to Buffy's realisations. "Selfless" was one of my favourite episodes of the entire series, the ending with Anya's epiphany that she has always defined herself through her partners was very sad. The final scene in "Beneath You" was another moment that was very ambiguous emotionally, it was poignant but pitiful at the same time, it was a very unique blend. "The Killer In Me" had some of the best scenes of the season, and I think the reason many people disliked the episode had more to do with Kennedy "stealing Willow's affections" just like Tara did in the forth season to Willow & Oz.
The episode "Help" for some reason that I can't quite understand has always affected me, perhaps it was the theme of fatalism that I enjoyed although it was another episode that wasn't too well liked, but Cassie's speech to Buffy and Xander, when they visit her home, was very well written and fatalistic, which I liked. It was a touching moment of resignation. The only issue I had with this episode was the final scene, where the Scoobies are sitting around Buffy's living room. I feel like the episode would have had more resonance if each of the Scoobies involved, Buffy, Dawn, Willow and Xander were all coping with it differently, and juxtaposed their different coping methods/characters. Perhaps Buffy has gone out slaying, Willow meditating, Dawn alone in her room reading, Xander goes to visit Anya, the connection to each moment would have been in the characters thoughts and expressions, and how much fate plays in determining their futures.
And of course, the speeches of Season Seven were overall very well done. Xander's in "Potential" was heartbreaking and Spike's to Buffy in "Touched" was very moving.

I also thought that Willow's breakdown was one of the highlights of Season 7.

Season Seven really did play on my emotions a lot. Some scenes in episodes I can't stand to watch anymore because they hurt so much to watch. The series finale "Chosen" was one of the worst. Wathcing Anya's clueless face as that bringer guy killed her was just heartbreaking.
All episodes envolving Willow tears makes me feel sad -- I don't cry or anything coz it takes a lot to do that but in "The Killer in Me" where she's talking to Kennedy ... this episode I sort of hated Kennedy for kissing Willow and I was liked PULL THE F#@!ING TRIGGER but now I like Kennedy coz of season 8.
But yeah, season seven was really sad.

I thought that Anya dead was so sad and way the quick. At least they could give Xander and Anya an sweet goodbye scene.
