Do you guys remember Olivia? She appeared throughout season 4. She was Giles' girlfriend. Anya referred to her as Giles' "orgasm buddy". She just disappeared after "Restless". So what happened to her? Was there ever an explanation? They never spoke of her again. At the end of "Hush", she and Giles were talking about monsters.

Olivia: "So monsters are all real?"
Giles: "Does it scare you?"

Olivia had no response but it seems like she wasn't comfortable with monsters. I'm thinking maybe she just couldn't deal with monsters and stuff and probably broke up with Giles for that reason? Any thoughts?

I really liked her ... I wish that we see her again in the comics... and that she had a child with Giles but never told him to keep the baby save from all the moster around the hell mouth.

I don't really think she needed to come back, because she was just Giles' friend w/ benefits. See how they greet each other for confirmation on that.

Maybe it was just me, but at first it seemed like a friends with benefits deal to me too but she seemed to be warming up to Giles and it looks like they were getting serious. It's hard to like her honestly, or to dislike her since she barely did much let alone had much lines in the episodes that she were in. Maybe she was meant to be a background character kinda like Jonathan was back in HS and Larry. Kinda to show that Giles DID have a social life outside of the core scoobies group. Would it have been nice to keep her on longer and develop her further? Sure. I feel bad for Giles. He had Jenny as a girlfriend and she died tragically. And that was it. He had some action with Joyce in "Band Candy" then Olivia throughout season 4 but that was the end of his love life.

Lol, Gachnar, someone sure has a lot of free time on their hands to come up with that fantasy!

For the little time she had on the show, I think she showed us that Giles is very much human and has feelings. It showed us that he isnt just the bookworm ex watcher. She showed us a different side of Giles IMO.

I think I remember hearing that she was supposed to appear in Ripper(that's what Giles show/movie would have been called, wasn't it?

Well, Buffy referred to her as Giles' girlfriend in 'Who Are You?', and Giles didn't correct her, so who knows. Maybe they were, in fact, orgasm buddies. Maybe he went to England to live with her during season 6. I would love to see her again in comics, that would be nifty.
