When I first watched the clip I was happy and had a big smile on my face, once it ended I got all depressed and pissed. I WANT IT! I don't understand why any networks didn't pick this up, not even UPN or The WB? Once they couldn't find a home, David Fury mentioned they could release it on DVD, but 20th Century FOX decided not to.
Insane, insane network execs. I bet if this clip was released about three-four years back, we could of done something about it. There were even seven scripts written!
Some premises:
-Buffy getting shrunk to 6 inches.
-Buffy going for her drivers license.
-Buffy and Willow getting a babysitting job.
-Demon cafeteria food.

Those sound like great ideas. Too bad we were never given a chance to see any of those. If this clip is any indication, I'd say the show would have been a hit. There was just so many great things in this and it was only 3 minutes. I mean you have Buffy's awesome beat down on the vamp, Willow panicking over Buffy potentially being bit, Giles mocking Buffy & Willow's party plans, and of course Xander's little "the harder they what?" moment. All priceless. |

When she "flip-kicked" that vamp that was just cool, I love seeing something from Buffy I havnt seen before, but it screams cartoon network at me  I agree. I actually think I liked it more when it was just drawings, back when I thought it'd be more WB Saturday Morning-ish than CN-ish. But if it did com into existence somewhere down the line, I would watch it since its part of the verse. But, idk, it just really seemed to make me feel like my show was being made fun of. I know, I'm weird. No need to point it out and quote me. LOL. |

Some FOX Executive sees this and the reaction it's getting, sees that there is still interest and thinks "Hmm... maybe a DVD isn't such a bad idea." He/She decides to move forward with the seven scripts that are written, gets an animation team, gets most of the cast and they start making it....

maybe...that's why it's on the web at this point, I mean is weird that someone keep in secret the pilot during all this years and now just show it like it was just another video.
it can be a test or something LOL we can dream.

I'm the one who found the buffy animated episode and i made a thread for it and then someone passed it on to cowboyguy and deleted the thread that i made. And its interesting that he makes a thread for it without mentioning my name for finding it FIRST. Cheers man this was an awesome find. |

interesting how this vid came out and issue 20 is right around the corner-ish.... Oh nice thought, It would be great if they added in the odd episode of the animated series into the comics as a free dvd or something but It will never happen. Shame though it looks excellant. |

I never thought about issue 20. maybe somethings a brewing.
Who knows with the sucess of the comics maybe they will try again to get it picked up.
could we start a petition.
I think electic tiki would benifit if it got picked up.

Can I tell you I almost died a little right now.. (fine, dramatic, yes.) but that was an awesome clip. It's sad to know that it never went anywhere. Hopefully sales with the upcoming comic art make them see how much we all want it and perhaps a straight to dvd type of thing.

I know people are going to think this is stupid idea, but I really think we should petition or compaign for a DVD:
The Buffy fandom is never going to die, and everyone knows we have a hard time letting go and want more. With Buffy Season 8 and the upcoming Buffy Animated-style issue, it's the perfect time. Even people who ARN'T reading Season 8 would buy the DVD, FOX could make profit, easily.
There are seven scripts written, while more would be nice, seven isn't bad. Running about twenty minutes each, that's around 2 and a half more hours of Buffy! Who could complain? One of the main reasons the series wasn't picked up was because of how expensive the animation was... so use CHEAPER for all I care! It wouldn't be that big of a deal, would it? Actors? I'm sure some would provide their voice. For a paycheck, I'm bet a lot of them would pop in a studio for a couple hours to do voice work.
Phil started a petition for a new Buffy video game, and look what happened. Who knows if the petition had anything to do with it, but still, we got one. Whether it's making a petition and posting it at every Buffy-related site we can find, or sending something to 20th Century FOX, I think we should do something.

Attack of the Clones is coming into the big screen over here in the UK soon. I don't see how they can not do an Animated Buffy movie.... i mean it doesn't even have to be in the cinema it could be direct to dvd and it would still be a hit would it not?
